Big D BBQ & Catering

A great place for the hubs and I to wind down with a chilled beer in hand. We are so excited to be back at Big D's again. This place feels like home sweet home and the food definitely hit the spot. The menu has slimmed down but I prefer it this way, straight to point and guides you to Big D’s favorites. Hubs had the brisket and I ordered a cheese steak brisket. Yum! Plates come with 2 hefty sides of your choice. I chose max n cheese & potato salad which was more than enough to share. We left happy and stuffed! Service was hands down the best part. Indeed, a rare gem in Mansfield. Planning to return with our friends and family for more awesome BBQ, beer and next time board games. Thanks y'all!

This BBQ is the real deal. Great bark, nice smoke ring and a definite trip down flavor lane! My favorite are the burnt ends and bacon-wrapped jalapeños; however, all the meats are great. I give the meats a definite 5, and the sides a 4. Worth the drive, and good sized portions, though not cheap.

Not too crowded. After lunch? 1:10pm. Lots of meat on a BBQ SANDWICH × 2 SIDES. Bbq has gone up in prices all over...so you know that every place is higher than they used to be.Friendly staff and quick service.

I Didn't get any pictures today, sorry you will just have to trust me and go check it out for yourself, you won't regret it. Very good bbq, good flavor, juicy..friendly and inviting. The cost is a bit high however, the cost is high everywhere .so that's to be expected.Heads up if you are one of the many people that loves burnt ends they have them here...but you better call in early to get yours they sell out pretty fast...ENJOY!!????‍♀️

Great food. Great service. Local restaurants have been slow since Covid, and this one took a hit too. However, their BBQ is really good! Try their burnt ends! If Gary is there, he'll too make sure you're taken care of. #EatLocal

7/22/22: Stopped here with a friend, who lives in Mansfield. From the outside, it looks pretty ordinary. Once inside, the smell of BBQ hits you, and you're transported to a time when great service and great food come together! I had a two meat plate, with pulled pork, brisket (which was sliced in front of me), burnt ends, jalapeño stuffed with brisket then wrapped in bacon (firecracker), fried okra and green beans. The gentleman and his wife take great pride in their food, and make you feel like your family. They checked on us a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. The food was awesome, and they also have a spicy BBQ sauce which has a nice kick! The brisket didn't need any sauce, the pulled pork was great, and the burnt ends were very good. I'd definitely stop by again!

Have been there at least a dozen times over the last few years. Have always ordered the sliced beef sandwich with two sides, usually the pinto beans and skillet fried potatoes. I have never been dissatisfied, in fact I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of the meat on the bun and the sides.

1st time here. Let me say that I was welcomed as if they've known me for years. They gave a sample of the turkey, and lord oh lord. Definitely will be ordering for Thanksgiving. The brisket is moist and full of flavor. Their okra is definitely something you should try. I can go on, but my food is getting cold.Come in, you won't regret it

Had burnt ends, pepper sausage, potatoes salad and corn bake. Everything was great. Tammy was awesome. Will come back again when I'm in town.

I ordered the brisket baked potato. It came with cheese, bacon, and sour cream. My husband ordered the burnt ends and sausage, with mac n cheese and potato salad. We both thought it was just okay, we've had better. If you like hot stuff try their spicy bbq, that was really good!

Great customer service. Food was so good! We had peppered sausage, pulled pork and my favorite was the brisket. The sides! AMAZING, I could really eat all sides and very little meat. The Mac and cheese is SUPERB!!! We loved the corn bake. To me was almost like Mexican street corn with no Chile. The taters were so flavorful and tasty. And the spicy barbecue sauce was the cherry on top! Will definitely return!

Had a lovely experience with my family here last week. My husband tried the food at a work event and stated it was the best pulled pork and brisket he had ever tried. We went into the brick-and-morter as a family later that week and were not disappointed. The portions are large! Our little family of 3 ordered two sandwich plates, but really could have gotten away with one. One of the owners was present, and it was obvious that he loved what he did. Very personable and attentive. Looking forward to their new location opening.

Wow!! Wow!! Wow!!I went in google just looking for a barbecue nearest to me little did I know that my taste buds are in for a savory treat. Not only did I have impeccable service provided by the lady up and young gentleman up front I wish I had the gentleman‘s name to but Tammy went above and beyond. I was greeted when I walked into the door. And personally catered to. I’ve never been here before so wasn’t sure what all they had to offer about they got me just right. I had sausage, turkey and all of the sides. And then the sourdough bread OMG. I’ll definitely be back!! once I placed my order and my food was ready Tammie personally walked around the counter and help load and deliver my order into the car. Not too many people go above and beyond which is why I was blown away. Great service great food I will definitely be back.

Great BBQ! The pepper sausage is especially phenomenal.
