A great place for the hubs and I to wind down with a chilled beer in hand. We are so excited to be back at Big D's again. This place feels like home sweet home and the food definitely hit the spot. The menu has slimmed down but I prefer it this way, straight to point and guides you to Big D’s favorites. Hubs had the brisket and I ordered a cheese steak brisket. Yum! Plates come with 2 hefty sides of your choice. I chose max n cheese & potato salad which was more than enough to share. We left happy and stuffed! Service was hands down the best part. Indeed, a rare gem in Mansfield. Planning to return with our friends and family for more awesome BBQ, beer and next time board games. Thanks y'all!

This BBQ is the real deal. Great bark, nice smoke ring and a definite trip down flavor lane! My favorite are the burnt ends and bacon-wrapped jalapeños; however, all the meats are great. I give the meats a definite 5, and the sides a 4. Worth the drive, and good sized portions, though not cheap.

We used to live in Mansfield and ae great barbecue here often. Starting their first week in business. Recently stopped by to pick some up and the dining room was closed. A post on the door said they were now Big D Catering. The barbecue business is the hardest to make money in, and the hardest work. Razor thin margins don't allow mistakes. Catering can make a lot of sense as you're not rolling the dice everyday with food and fuel costs. So I wish them well in their new endeavor, and if I ever need to cater barbecue I'd certainly use them.

I am very thankful that we have a big D barbecue here in Mansfield! I like to smoke my own barbecue most the time, but having big D to go to when I don't have enough time is awesome. Delicious brisket!!

Not too crowded. After lunch? 1:10pm. Lots of meat on a BBQ SANDWICH × 2 SIDES. Bbq has gone up in prices all over...so you know that every place is higher than they used to be.Friendly staff and quick service.

I Didn't get any pictures today, sorry you will just have to trust me and go check it out for yourself, you won't regret it. Very good bbq, good flavor, juicy..friendly and inviting. The cost is a bit high however, the cost is high everywhere .so that's to be expected.Heads up if you are one of the many people that loves burnt ends they have them here...but you better call in early to get yours they sell out pretty fast...ENJOY!!????♀️

7/22/22: Stopped here with a friend, who lives in Mansfield. From the outside, it looks pretty ordinary. Once inside, the smell of BBQ hits you, and you're transported to a time when great service and great food come together! I had a two meat plate, with pulled pork, brisket (which was sliced in front of me), burnt ends, jalapeño stuffed with brisket then wrapped in bacon (firecracker), fried okra and green beans. The gentleman and his wife take great pride in their food, and make you feel like your family. They checked on us a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. The food was awesome, and they also have a spicy BBQ sauce which has a nice kick! The brisket didn't need any sauce, the pulled pork was great, and the burnt ends were very good. I'd definitely stop by again!
This place is delicious! Hands down, so good! Its a small business, the employees work hard and are attentive and friendly. The chicken sandwich I ordered was beyond mouth watering. The drinks were fresh, the fries are sooooo good, the restaurant is clean. I have nothing but great things to say. Cant wait to go back!

Lunch was ordered for several employees at the Firm. Initially, the food was the typical goodness experienced in the past; however, about an hour after consumption, the office was riddled with stomach aches. In fact, the only individual that was capable of completing the work shift was the individual that did not order from this establishment. Very disappointing. We will not be dining here in the future.
