I've been to several Dixie House locations and finally got to go to the one in Mansfield. Unfortunately, the chicken fried chicken is so awesome that I never try anything else. My wife had the grilled chicken and loved it. When we first got there we literally had 5 folks ask us if we needed a drink. The food is awesome and the staff is awesome. Thank you, to our waitress who has to drive a long way to get to work, Laura the manager and Joann (but I prefer JoJo) I will be back soon and you should come here as well.

Dixie House was great, amazing waitresses each checking our satisfaction and very attentive to not just us but all of the patrons. Definitely a breath of fresh air and the food was so gooood! In addition to my cheeseburger and fries I indulged in a generous slice of lemon cream cheese cake! Amazing!

Service was great.. Food was delicious.. It was the Best Chicken Fried Steak I've had in years.. By reading some of the reviews it looks like everything has improved since the first few opening days.

Tried for the first time today for Sunday breakfast. The food and service was excellent. Food came out fast, hot, and absolutely delicious! If you haven’t yet, give this place a try!

So unfortunately I say I will stick with Our Place, CJs Hen House or even Waffle House where I can get the same thing I ordered here for half the price and it will be hotter. A big thing I recommend is assign waitresses to their area then maybe my food wouldn't be cold because assigned waitress will be looking for it. Way over priced for long wait and too many people coming for drink order. And sadly food was not only cold but not good at all seemed like eggs were cooked day before. Place looks nice but that's about it.

My only complaint with this place is the booths. They have got to remove 1 from each row to make this comfortable. We had to turn our table diagonally just so i could breathe and we are only 160lbs and 220lbs. I watched others from across the room and they had similar issues. The chicken fried stk and chicken fried chicken were both just as good as anywhere else. Ok, now you did something right and different with the mashed potatoes from any other restaurant. I would swear those were homemade. I'm going to ask next time. On Wednesday they have both of these meals for $5.99, smaller portion $4.99. That other place in town is now $8.99 on Mondays. I dont even go there anymore. This place is definitely worth a giving a try. The 4 stars could be a 5 if they fix the booths

This restaurant just recently opened and is experiencing new opening growth. Never have I seen the parking lot over flowing with the cars that I’ve seen today. The service was good considering the amount of people who were trying to get in. The food was excellent! Our waitress Mona Walker was exceptional. Please give this place a chance before bashing them with negative feedback. Give them a chance to flourish and meet the demands of it’s new patrons, and over comes its own challenges of just getting started. Soon you will have a well oiled machine putting out excellent food , with a matching customer service. Texas, lets support this place and let’s show them that we are committed to their success.

I went there for dinner tonight (Feb 1). I had the pot roast. Oh my God, it was amazing!! The service was outstanding. Multiple people stopped by and asked us if we need anything. Did I say the pot roast was amazing? My friend had an omelet which was awesome also. I can't wait to go back. Interior looked good also! Nice transformation from the old BBQ place.

Such a warm and friendly environment to enjoy lunch today. Food was Southern comfort style like my Mama would cook for us as a child. Our waitress, Joanna, was a sweetheart and took care of us with fast service and a smile. All the employees made sure our meal was enjoyable. I can't wait to come back!

Went to Dixie.House Cafe on a Wednesday evening at about 7:00-7:15 pm. It was quite crowded it’s a line ate the door. It took a while just to get your name on the waiting list, as the hostess was also performing waitress jobs. She would write a couple of names on a paper sack and then call a couple of names already on waiting list and dash off to seat them. Then return, etc. A different waitress took our drink orders and a waiter brought drinks to us. Another waitress took our food order and a waiter brought our food, but no roll, cornbread nor Texas toast. Finally we got our bread. I got the pot roast, which was way to salty. I had ordered spinach, which is what the vegetable menu board listed and they brought turnip greens (not even a choice on the menu). I ordered fried okra as my second side, which was a very small portion and just barely warm. I will say the pot roast was a good size portion, but too salty to eat. I was very disappointed with this new restaurant in Mansfield.

After reading prior reviews I'm a bit disappointed in those leaving low ratings. The place just opened up and like every new place glitches need ironing out. My visit here today was Absolutely great. Food and service both 5 stars. Especially the service.
