This is our 2nd time eating here. It has been a couple years since the last time (and we remembered why we never go, when we got our food) , and sadly we would not return to eat here. The atmosphere is great, and the service was decent, the food actually tasted very good, but the portions are ridiculous for the price they charge. Actually very disappointing because we love to support locally owned business, but just cannot warrant the price for the meager taste of food you get. Either come down on the prices or go up on the portions. Also, presentation of the food is severely lacking. I ordered the $13.00 “bowl” of brisket chili, and it was served in a small bowl, not much bigger than a cup, only a little over half full, and 3 little hush puppy sticks on the side, and nothing else, no “fixins” or anything, the dinner salad I ordered came on a saucer size plate, looked like one leaf of romaine lettuce cut up and 2 little grape tomatoes, that’s it, and the side of coleslaw with my husband’s food was in a little plastic 1oz condiment container, it was almost laughable until we got our 80.00 dollar bill! Sadly, I definitely would not recommend going to eat a meal there. If you want a cute little place to go have a drink and listen to music, then you will not be disappointed, but anything else I would not bother. Please put a little love into your meals, or at least make it appear that you are putting a little love into your guests!

Haven't been here in years. So glad I came back. Definitely worth it. Live music. Good food excellent margaritas! Corn hole. Very friendly staff. Ribs are amazing and will ruin the taste of the other meats. Only bad thing is there's no veterans discount. Fun

Got the catfish and shrimp combo. No fillets, just the cheapest nuggets with the dark meat. 2nd to the worst catfish I have ever had in my life. To charge $20 for this

Have been coming here for at least 15 years. The food has always been amazing and fresh. The owners take pride in sourcing the best ingredients and meat. Drinks are always great, especially their margaritas (fresh squeezed lime juice and not a mix, family recipe) and we absolutely love when the weather is great for sitting outside. When my son was little, my friends and family loved going there to eat on the patio and let the kids run around and play since it is fenced away from street and very easy to keep an eye on the kiddos to ensure they’re safe. Price range is good and ranges from fairly inexpensive to moderately priced depending on what you’re in the mood for and whether you’re enjoying adult beverages or not.

After getting somewhat turned around in downtown Mansfield, and going down a few streets, I came upon this restaurant called Stevens Garden and Grill. I wasn't sure if it was a Garden or Grill, but pulled in anyway, lots of trees', plants, and a large outside patio, that has been used for music venues, I found out later. They have been around for about 19 years, and there's a Feed and Grain store across the street that is in the family as well, really a unique setting, out of the way, and if you didn't know it was there, you would be hard pressed to find it, but I'm glad I did. Some of the best barbecue around, and their Borracho Beans are a mix of Mex-Tex with a bit of spice, bacon and beer. The brisket is is slow smoked on a commercial smoker they have in a farm type unit outside, where they smoke all their meats, from pork to ribs and brisket, usually for over 10 hours, using Seasoned Black Oak, as the wood of choice. They have good Catfish, either blackened, grilled or fried, so if you love catfish, you can get it your way, their way! Some of their items include Quesadillas, about 5 different ways, some seafood ones coming down the pike I have heard. They have added some new items here the last couple weeks I was there, like Oysters Grilled, Oysters Rockefeller, Calamari, Fish and Chips, Crab Cakes, and hear that the kitchen staff is exploring other seafood and unique protein items, so stay tuned! Overall I have not had a meal I wasn't happy with, the owners mingle to meet and say hi, and get to know ya, the wait staff are great, I had Brooke last time I was there and had a great experience. Every order is made when its ordered, they don't cook ahead, so you don't end up with something that's been done for 2 hours, or more. Go check them out.Kid-friendliness: Playground outside in the outside dining area, with a few options for the kiddos to do in spare time.Parking: They own the property across the street that they use for parking, underneath a Pecan Tree that's about 100 years old.Dietary restrictions: We have Gluten Free Options

The food was good and cooked fresh. We were there about 2 pm, so not during a rush. Food was freshly cooked. We had sliced brisket sandwich and fries. We would go back. Seems like a great place for Happy Hour and appetizers. Indoor and outdoor seating. It appears to have corn hole and washers for games.

The service was great and the restaurant was clean and visually appealing, however the food was a little pricey for the portion size and my Catfish Poor Boy was bland, overcooked, came with very dry bread and overall was skimpy on portions. The restaurant also didn't have sufficient HVAC and didn't have a nearby ceiling fan so it was very hot.I would probably give this place another try because some of the other food looked good and the tator keg appetizer was amazing, but it'll have to be in the fall when the weather cools down.

We really enjoy this place - the people and the atmosphere are so welcoming and enjoyable. The food is very good, but maybe a little on the pricey side for what you're getting. When we have the budget for it, we love to come here, but sometimes for family of 5 (sometimes more depending on what kid friends are with us), it's just too much for a dinner out.
