Went for the first time. Unfortunately, 2 of 3 restaurants advertised are closed. Twisted root burger open. We were the only ones in the whole place (it was 230ish). Set up looks like it has a lot of potential- very fun/colorful.

I love this place. I stop here when I travel to East TX from Colorado. Dog friendly.
It was my first time dining outside in a long time and trying out this establishment. I now remember why I stopped dining outside. Bees, and flies were a nuisance. Smh I ate some tacos from Taqueria Ventana. The tacos were there. I ordered 2 lengua, 1 barbacoa, and the taco of the month which was fish. I didn't know the corn tortillas were going to be dry. I didn't take into consideration that not all restaurants double up on the tortillas and cook them with oil to soften up the tortillas. The lengua and barbacoa tacos didn't come with onions and cilantro and the flavor was pretty bland. The fish taco was ok. I didn't know the fish was going to be a fried fish stick/steak. If that was the case I wouldn't have ordered it. I will admit it was doctored up with slaw and some type of sauce. So that helped out alot with the dry corn tortilla. I asked for Tajin with my margarita. When the waitress brought my drink to the table there was no Tajin. I asked for a bottled water when I ordered my food. Asked the waitress about the water, when the food was brought out l. She said she would have to verify if it was placed in with the order.. She walked back inside for a few minutes and returned with the water. I don't understand why the beverages were not given at the time the order was placed. Maybe I am over analyzing. I will return to try out the other restaurants the Backyard has to offer. Unfortunately, I will not return to this establishment. Once again the employees were nice. I just didn't care for the food.

Pretty chill spot to grab a bite to eat, a drink, and hangout. With several restaurants to choose from, eat inside or out on the patio, something for everyone.

We ate at Twisted Root burgers. There are other restaurant options, of course. The prices are pretty fair, and the food was delicious! There are child friendly, and vegan options as well. The atmosphere is laid back, but could also make a great date night. We had dinner as a family, and we all found options we enjoyed.

Each dish had so much depth.
