The Backyard is located in the Historic Downtown district of Mansfield, TX, offering a Backyard patio experience with 3 restaurants and a brewery!This fine establishment is located off Main Street with plenty of street parking and a parking lot located behind it on Broad. The restaurants include Twisted Root, where they serve burgers, shakes, and chicken tenders with many varietys of pickles to choose from. There is Del Torro BBQ that serves BBQ and sides. Inside Del Torro is By the Horns brewery that has a bar inside. Lastly, there is taqueria La Ventana that serves tacos, bowls, burritos, and margaritas.There is ample seating throughout this venue where you can sit either inside the restaurants or in The Backyard with many benches and tables. During the winter months, they provide heaters to keep you warm. They also have a small gazebo to sit at as well. Ther have cornhole to play as well and other board games such as Jenga. The Backyard team and staff does a great job keeping the grounds nice and clean to provide great service to the guest while keeping the value and prices fair and average. Overall, this is such a nice place to go to and have some drinks while eating some tasty food and enjoying the beautiful weather in Texas.

First of all the guacamole & chips were my fav. My family and I stopped by after church. This area is about a mile away from Bethlehem Baptist Church. We have been over in this area a few times but hadn’t tried this taco ? spot! The atmosphere was great. I will say that I didn’t like that they didn’t really have a kids menu. Our kids got the cheese quesadillas, 1 out of 3 actually finished the food. We won’t be taking the kids back but we will go back. You can sit outside & eat, which is one of my favorite features about the backyard area! The pricing for the food was average, our bill was about $63 for 5 people. Sorry I didn’t take any pics

What a cool spot! Great area to meet friends at. We enjoyed the burger at Twisted Root. The taco place is what we came there for but when we walked in, it smelled like sewage. The bathrooms were disgusting. As in I opened and closed multiple stalls and none of which had a clean seat. But the spot itself is super cool! Just hope they take better care of the public bathroom space there…

The Backyard's atmosphere is great! There's three restaurants that share an expansive multi-platform backyard, including an indoor/outdoor full bar, backyard games, music, and food that everyone will enjoy!Parking: There's a paved parking area and next to it there's a gravel parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Backyard games, kids and pet friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to access all restuarants.
La Ventana and Del Toro are fantastic. Huge patio with outdoor games.

I ordered the millionare burger at Twisted Root. Ten minutes later she tells me tge don't have wagyu beef and offers refund and a new burger. She talks to manager and he seemed negative about what she said. Comes back and gives me a plate and said it was the last one. I feel played and didn't feel like i had the right beef after that. Went back to get more fries and recieved a little hanful for almost 4 dollars!!! Not happy.
