Nice place. Wife got the catfish, she liked it. I got a cheese burger because I wasn’t that hungry. We got our food, and the burger looked good, and big. I cut it in half because it was so big, took a bite and realized it was super pink in middle. Asked for it to be fixed, the water took it and was back in about 2 min with the same burger cut in half with a bite out of it on a new bun. Barely cooked more. No way was I sending it back again. Sucky experience.

I want to shout out our server, Ollie. A table with 2 teens and a toddler is daunting, but she was spectacular. Even got my daughter to openly ask if she could have her necklace. Excellent server and made the meal better.

The food was excellent! I had the steak salad with the chipotle vinaigrette. It was superb! The wait was a little under 30 minutes. It was very busy. The waitress was wonderful. The only negative was it took about 30-45 minutes to receive our food after we ordered.
The atmosphere and views are definitely the best parts of this restaurant’s appeal and charm! Unfortunately, that’s where the fantasy abruptly ends! My family members and I have never had worse steaks in our entire lives than at this restaurant twice now! I kid you not, it tasted like chewing on my western boots after sweating in them all day mixed with kerosene! YUCK! We thought we would give it another try a couple years later and lo and behold the steak was still just as bad as we all remembered! Never Again! :(

We had a party of 9 at 6pm on a Sunday evening. We were seated immediately with a river view. Our server was prompt and attentive. Each person ordered something different plus we ordered the tower of onion rings for an appetizer. The medium cooked NY Strip steak, the big had BBQ bacon burger, the regular cheeseburger, the ground beef steak, the fried chicken salad, and the fried shrimp were all good as we're mashed potatoes, baked potato. Green beans and fries. This was a family reunion of sorts (all here for a funeral) and we had a great meal and visit. The bill for 9 people was $239. The restaurant added 15% gratuity so we added another 10%. River City Grill is a reliable place with very good food and good service.

What a wonderful place to have a meal. The food was great, the staff were very friendly, and the views were incredible! They are right on the river and we watched the Sun set as we ate our evening meal. Service was quick. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer- very good. My daughter got the cheese burger, and we got a grilled chicken salad and a chicken fried steak with fried okra and mashed potatoes. When we vacation at Inks Lake State Park this is on our list of places to eat!
