Best iced lattes ever!! The owners are amazing people and my caffeine curator was awesome and friendly as per the usual. I’ve never left there unsatisfied. 10/10 would definitely recommend ❤️☕️🧋🍰🍪

Menu changes daily but each time we went we had a good cup of coffee and a pastry. On our 2 visits we had orange cranberry scones, which melted in your mouth. Hot honey cornbread, that's what their famous for and for good reason. Pumpkin muffins and chocolate chip cookies. If you're in Marfa do not miss this spot, it's so worth it!

Delicious and well made cappucino and ganache chocolate cake. The ganache had tiniest bit of graininess from sugar, and the cake was divine. The store is super cute with retro videos playing, quaint heads of animals mounted on the walls, and you wouldn't think that there was a coffee shop inside, but there is.

I have been to Bitter Sugar on multiple occasions when I visit Marfa and it has consistently been one of my favorite coffee shops in Texas. The coffee is delicious but the real star is the various baked goods that are all homemade. Both of the owners have remained dedicated to improving the menu and rotating new items based on season and popularity. I would highly recommend anyone traveling through give it a try.

Have signs up but are NOT actually open during business hours. They just are sitting outside with the closed sign up... never going back. This is why everything in Marfa is closing.
Amazing coffee and matcha! The place is super cute. Highly recommend!

Hidden gem in Marfa. Fantastic baked goods right from the oven. The cornbread and chocolate chip cookies were amazing. Specialty coffees were perfect.

Coffee was great and the bagels were SO good! I’m originally from NJ where bagels are life, and I have not had such a tasty bagel in Texas. Wish we could’ve stopped by again on the way out. Thanks so much!

Excellent coffee shop, espresso was well dialed in, milk was steamed to a great temperature and texture. Staff were polite and communicative about wait times. Spot is cozy with some merchandise available for sale. They have board games, DVDs, and VHS. They have a variety of pastries and bagels for sale and a good selection of non-coffee beverages. There is seating outside and plenty of parking.

Our lil family had a weekend getaway here in mid-June and we were told by numerous locals to stop here when we asked around.
The ONLY con (and I mean only!!!!) was that it opened at 11am. We would have loved to come here first thing in the morning, but this was an easy fix because they had decaf espresso, so I was able to have a drink in the late afternoon. What coffee shop has decaf espresso nowadays if desired!? They do. What a huge win.
It has seasonal drinks with housemade syrups, I don't need to say anything more! The baked goods were also locally made. Stop here!
