This place was recommended. Terrible and rude customer service. Food was mediocre and too pricey.

I ordered a regular Chai which was not hot just warm. I liked the layout and I would have like to hear some lounge music.

Had an absolutely delicious breakfast here. They do not have gluten free toast as an option but were happy to swap the toast for an avocado. So many different spots to sit, cute chairs, big tables, and outdoor seating. Have some fun trinkets, books, shirts, and local art for sale as well. Great spot in the funky town of Marfa!

I went there just for the coffee. Got the latte, was very good. It's hard to impress me with a latte but it was definitely top tier. Would return.

Cant share anything about the place other than they're always closed even as hours on Google say open , with signs outside saying open. But doors continue to stay locked.Update your hours please. Came from Alpine just to have wasted that time.

Pretty amazing and unique place to visit if or when you are in Marfa.I first was impressed with a contrast between the outer view of the building and the interior of the cafe. It honestly felt like I stepped into another dimension - that’s how much bigger that place looked, all that space inside, out of nowhere!..I also loved it how they combine so many purposes into that one space inside - it’s a coffee shop, it’s an art gallery, a lounge space, a book/esoteric shop.. Simply breathtaking.I enjoyed their heartfelt service, always very personal and warm to each and everyone; they have a very nice list of coffee drinks (and maybe teas too, not sure now.. I was focused on getting my caffeine that morning! ?).All in all - the owners have done an amazing job of creating this place - a proud reflection of that creative, artistic spirit that is embracing and following you when you are in Marfa.

Cool setting. Nice folks. Good vibe. Unfortunately there is a disconnect between the front register and the kitchen. It took over one hour to get a single sandwich. One is given a number flag for table delivery. We were in relaxed-mode so we slowly sipped our latte slowly at the first picnic table just outside the door and didn't even return to the register until about 40 minutes had passed without the food. But when we did and were told our order was 'next' it still didn't arrive. So we returned to the register a second time after about twenty five minutes and this time waited at the register. They were mortified and apologetic and offered to make us an extra, which was appreciated but declined given we didn't want to overeat. The eggplant sandwich was delicious and satisfying once we got it. So I would highly recommend this restaurant. The one caveat would be if you don't see your food in a reasonable amount of time, and you are on any type of schedule, then you may have to be assertive about it until they work out whatever's up within the fulfillment part of the equation. :)

This is a coffee shop, bar, restaurant and unique confectionery along with an independent newspaper publisher located in a restored building in downtown Marfa. You can get a Guiness, an espresso and a hand-crafted bandana or leather wallet all in one place, and you're as likely to see a sandal-footed local walk in as you are a murdered-out SUV full of hipsters just arriving off the highway from LA. It feels cool, not pretentious. The Sentinel is a must-stop destination and experience and today is a part of the cultural bedrock that composes up this intriguing and unique, west Texas town. Great spot to stop!

Pros - Loved the interior space, very inviting and lots of place to sit and talk Cons - Ordered Chai Tea and they were out of Chai???. Staff suggested another type and it wasn't for me, but that's OK. - A bit pricey - long lines
