Great tasting food———-period! And they are not stingy with their portions ! Everyone is friendly! It doesn’t take long to get served. Pleasant atmosphere! Look for me each week! We needed this restaurant desperately!

Listen, I just need to tell somebody this food is delicious. I have no negativity here, baby. I love to see my people thrive! Thank you, Mrs Elisha, and continue to spread your love through your food and hospitality!

Ordered oxtails with a side of greens and candy jams! Best soul food I’ve had in years since leaving Houston. The lady who took my order was super sweet. The food was hot straight up the stove. I would definitely get this place a 10 out of 10.

Food is Excellent, the service was superb. If you want home cooking that is comforting & delicious & let me not forget the portions are enough for 2 people, we were referred by our cousin & I can’t Thank Him enough for the referral. I will be going back. We loved it & my spouse is a picky eater but he was HAPPY so it’s a “10” for us.

We were driving through Marshall and this restaurant came up. Best decision ever! The chicken was so tender it fell off the bone. The fried okra and candied yams were just right. And the service was amazing! Definitely recommend.

Such a beautiful hidden treasure. Detour slightly from the tourist trail to Elisha's for a full dose of Texas love. One meal (roast and potatoes, mixed greens, yams, and cornbread)fed my wife and I with some leftovers. The pork skins we took for the road were perfect.

🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 Real catfish filets were fried up perfectly. Mac cheese and yams set the whole plate off. I can't wait to return.

Waiting 45 min to get our food it’s not good especially when they were only two more tables.
Fortunately the food was really tasty!
Mixed greens, candied yams, butter peas and pork ribeye: great homemade food! We loved it but the waitress never checked on us.
Gospels music.
Not good about the cleanliness, the floor was very sticky and stained, tables around weren’t cleaned off their dirty plates. We asked to change our silverware as they weren’t clean. And overall nothing was spotless
Cleanliness in a restaurant is really important! They don’t pay attention to that, that’s a big no for me!
3 stars is only because the food is exceptionally good they obviously have a good cook but I am not sure what the rest of the staff are doing? They don’t clean and don’t take care of customers. I an not happy with the waiting time or the hygiene!

Plates are cooked to order, so expect a bit of a wait. But the food is so good; patience is rewarded.

I ordered Chicken and Dressing with Greens and Yams. The best part of the meal was the vegetables. The chicken and dressing was dry and Very, Very UNSEASONED. The manager had a Absolute Horrible and Nasty attitude because I wouldn't pay for the nasty dressing.
