I was a little lost and stopped here to ask for directions and water. I apologized in advance because I was just going to ask to use the restroom, but there was nobody inside, and this place looked so cool, I forgot about the bathroom. I only had a few bucks on me, so I tried a piece of chicken. It was a smoked quarter. It's so hard to find real smoked chicken in Austin. I have to come back to try the brisket. That's why the review and pics. I don't want to forget this place. The atmosphere was so dope to me so I took pics. I'm a city kid from up north. We definitely don't have anything like this where I'm from. I highly recommend you stopping here if you're passing through. He said they are only open on the weekends for now, so don't miss the chance if you're passing through Maxwell on a Saturday or Sunday.

Off the main road, but well worth the stop. If you like crispy brisket bark this is your place. Get the ribs and some fresh daily sausage. Spicy sauce too! The staff takes pride in their food and service.

This is not your typical fancy bbq place. This rustic old beauty with real Texas spirit. Cozy and family like. Sometimes not extremely clean, sometimes with no veggies, but always great meat, like your beloved grand ma house. Sausage is great, not greasy. Good brisket. Be aware that there are not a lot of options for side dishes. Authentic interior.

Their food here is amazing⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & another perk, they have an old school jukebox that works!!
Has hits from Chente, Ramón Ayala, so many more. Same jukebox as the one in Treból in Chicago.

Definitely the best BB-Q in the Lockhart area, sausage is out of this world, brisket was so tender and tasty and the ribs are just perfect. Great people, great food. I think I found the hidden gem.

This is a hidden gem, a diamond in the rough! This was a place my husband and I found by accident but boy were we blessed!!! This is the best bbq we’ve had in a very long time! Not only was the barbecue amazing, the beans and potato salad were just as on point! And the banana pudding- wow!!! We loved the music, and the customer service was so genuine. We will definitely be back.!!!

We stopped by this very quaint BBQ restaurant when we were “crawling” back to Austin. This brisket is now my favorite! It was tender, juicy, and the taste was almost addicting! I ate way too much! Stop by if you can and try it out.

The bar b que was amazing! The perfect balance of saltiness and flavor!! The owner was super nice and was very patient with me. The inside of the restaurant needs some work but, as someone mentioned previously, you go there for the food!!

This spot is amazing! Food is outstanding and great environment for the whole family to enjoy. Iv been to a lot of BBQ spots in Texas and so far my favorite for being a small family owned BBQ spot. Service is great and highly recommend.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday with my wife. Can't say enough good things about the food and the friendly owner, Tony. We had fantastic brisket, sausage and potato salad. A little out of the way, but worth the drive from Austin, Kyle/Buda, San Marcos or Lockhart! We will be back!

Juicy, Flavorful barbeque in a no frills home town setting. This place was great. Had the brisket, hot link, and some pickled jalapenos. The staff was welcoming and friendly, giving us some samples as well. Highly recommended!
