Enjoyed a hand battered Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed potatoes and corn. Delicious. Great service. They have a buffet if you are in the mood for that with a little bit of everything. We will be back.

Update, June 14,2025. Ate here several years ago and was impressed...Still am. My wife and I had lunch here. She had the veggie buffet $8.99 and I had the one meat buffet $9.99. She was impressed with the number of vegetables and the variety of items in the salad bar. Free seconds on the vegetables and for $12.99 it's all you can eat meat and vegetables. Good food, Great price!

I was in McGregor to visit my cousin and we decided to have lunch at The coffee Shop Cafe; great decision. Not many places serve liver and onions anymore or if they serve it, the liver is tough and dry, however The Coffee Shop's offering was well prepared and well seasoned. Simply delicious. The service was excellent. It was truly a "home cooked meal".

The food was terrible. We were extremely disappointed. Everything was overcooked and no flavor at all. We did not enjoy anything. We will never return. The waitress was good.
Good greeting, seated promptly. Great servers, friendly and attentive. Salad and food bar was messy, hesitant to try those. Fried pickles and onion rings very good. Hamburger was ok, patties too thick. Chicken fried chicken was very good, chef salad not so great, wilted lettuce. Think this place is best for breakfast.

There is always a great selection on the buffet. The food is delicious. The service and staff are excellent. It is always a special treat to eat at The Coffee Shop.

We have eaten here lots of times and always enjoyed the sugar free pecan pie. This time what we thought was sugar free pie definitely was not. Both of our sugars went high. We were VERY disappointed that we were served the wrong pie. Please encourage your waitress to be very careful.
