Hidden Falls Bistro & Bar

I've been playing golf at Hidden Falls for over a year. For the first six months we used to go into Marble Falls to get something to eat after golf. Six months ago, someone mentioned that the Bistro had really good food, which I wasn't even aware of so we gave it a try. I haven't gone back to Marble Falls since. We eat at The Bistro pretty much every time we play golf. I've had a half a dozen things on the menu and everything is 100%. The staff is awesome both in the Bistro, the golf course, and in the Pro shop. The prices are very reasonable for the food and golf. I look forward to my next visit to The Bistro. BTW, Jasmine is awesome, If there's something you need, she takes care of it. If you need to tweak your order she gets it done.

We hadn't been to Hidden Falls in about a year. We had previously had good experiences, but our recent visit left us all very disappointed. My hope is that management will see this review and make improvements.

We were literally the only guests on a Saturday evening. - maybe we should have seen the warning signs. The major complaints are all food quality related, so I will focus on those in detail.

Bruschetta - simply horrible. They use the word "fresh" to describe it. Nothing fresh about it and soaked in what I think was balsamic vinaigrette. They should throw out the current recipe the concocted and just go back to the basics.

Calamari - Burnt; and I don't mean just a little burn. Some the rights were almost black. It should not have been served. We tried a couple of pieces of least burnt and it would have been edible had it not been so overcooked. This is the one dish we sent back.

Crab Cake - Taste was OK, but a little over-cooked, tiny, and the sauce was OK but was cold. I certainly wouldn't order again but it wasn't bad.

Fettuccini Alfredo - we had two orders; and flavor, etc was fine. Although one dish was what you would expect and the other had sauce that was the consistency of watery soup.

Filet and Shrimp - Filet was ordered Medium but was medium rare at best. Flavor and quality of the steak was excellent and the person that ordered it just avoided the rare center. The side of mashed potatoes was not good at all. Veggies were fine.

Service - generally slow, but not horrible. It was clear that the kitchen was slow, which is fine since we were not in a hurry but a little more service (refilling drinks, etc) would have at least made us feel like we were not being ignored while we waited (a long time).

After our visit, I decided to look at the reviews and noticed that all the reviews were at least a year old. I assume this means that the good neighbors of Meadowlakes and Marble Falls are not willing to share negative reviews. While i understand that sentiment, there is no way this restaurant should have 4.5 stars. Given that we were the only patrons between 6:45 - 8:15, I assume all the regulars have figured out that this restaurant has gone downhill.

Stopped by on a whim during a vacation to Marble Falls. A few average meals during our stay but we decided to stop by this evening for what we hoped would be an above average experience and it was fantastic! It was a slow night at the end of the open hours. Our server was fantastic and very attentive! Drinks were great! Food was great! Dessert was fantastic! Highly recommended! Thanks for a great evening!

We celebrated my mom in laws birthday here on September 1st and had an awesome experienced. It was an excellent service from the minute I called and spoke with Alex to the service that Jasmine provided.The ambiance and the atmosphere is very nice. The food is good.I highly recommended to everyone. Give it a try if you are in the Marble Falls area and maybe play a little golf?

Holy moly!! Stayed in a sucky VRBO and wanted a good date night. Looked up several places with good reviews but saw this one that had a promising wine list and good steak reviews. When r we drove up there were like 5 cars there. But I figured on a Tuesday at 7pm that's may be ok. Was a little skeptical when the place was empty, AC wasn't working very well and it was hot.....BUT...the wait was worth it!!! Bruschetta was a melty warm pjece of heaven. Steak was a perfect Pittsburgh. It's really hard to find a steak house that can cook a good Pittsburgh, much less a gold club restaurant. If you know you know. Woa. Mashed potatoes had so much flavor and veggies....yum. The husband ordered the Chocolate Mousse Cake. I usually find these too "moussy" but it was fudgy and yummy. Perfect date night with my hubby. Thanks to Allem for great service!!!! The only negative was the AC wasn't working very well and it was hot!

Amazing place. Great atmosphere. Live music with an excellent selection. Great singer too! From the moment we walked in and were greeted, we knew we were at the right place. Amazing service and food.

The food and service was really great. My 7 yr old son said it was the best hamburger he had ever eaten. We had 2 appetizers and entrees and they were all delicious. Nice drink list as well.
