Wow, what a cute spot! Love the food and how it’s decorated. I love the fenced in herb garden and that we could eat outside with our dog. Her bakery goods are better than what we have in a big city. We stocked up and will have her enchiladas when we arrive home.

My wife said, “Texas Scratch Kitchen may be the cutest place I’ve ever been to. It’s like a farmers market but inside and with amazing pastries.” Shoutout to Marshall, our HipCamp host for the recommendation. The tea, blueberry danish, cinnamon roll, and sourdough were all delicious!

This place is an absolute gem. Everything was excellent. The sourdough was absolutely perfect. Every pastry was top notch. The store is loaded with phenomenal products and a great grab & go section. Last but not least the coffee was amazing as well. Go support this business! You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back.

The quality of coffee and pastries here is on par with, or better than, what you will find in Austin, San Francisco, New York, etc. Absolutely exceptional french pastries that will impress even the most well-traveled, and the quality of coffee pours that you'd find at Houndstooth Coffee, Blue Bottle Coffee, and other high end coffee shops. All in a cozy atmosphere, run by a talented group of local young women. I cannot recommend Texas Scratch Kitchen enough. You will regret not stopping by sooner.

A friend brought me one of their single serving pecan pie. The crust was incredible! Soft, chewy, and kinda sweet. Best I ever had. Next time I’m getting the whole pie! Well worth the stop.

Welcomed my family near closing time during a pit stop on a long road trip. Don’t miss this gem, if you're in Menard!

Quaint little stop that is a must every time we pass through! They have nice little assortment of pastries and baked goods, coffee, & tea. Their cinnamon rolls are my favorite, but I have loved all the things I have tried from them when we pass through town.

This time we tried their cinnamon sugar puffs and they are Devine!!!

Can't recommend this place enough!!!!

I have been driving through Menard all of my of my life. Never have I ever had a pastry in this town🤠! TSK is a game changer for this lovely community.

We stopped in for lunch with our boy Jax, and had “ the Sicilian “ sandwich. This is a very tasty and, basically an upscale ham and cheese. I do recommend warming it up slightly to bring out all of the flavors of the homemade sordough bread, cheese, ham. Great sandwhich.

We picked up a frozen ready to cook Beef enchilada dish to go as well. These were tasty “ Truck Stop” style. I will try the chicken next trip thru.

The shaded out door herb garden and patio is very comfy and cool. This is a dog friendly area. We sat outside, had lunch and enjoyed it very much.

This is a destination dining location for us, we have been coming through here for years, now we have a place to walk the dog, have lunch and take home some enchiladas for Dad.

Can’t wait to see yall again.

These are the hidden gems you hope to find road tripping through Texas. When the cashier calls the customer in front of you by name and asks if she wants her regular, you know people feel at home there. Food was fresh and yummy - breakfast sandwich on house made english muffin, cinnamon roll, chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, pesto pasta - we tried it all and was perfect for a family of 5. Thank you for putting love into your bakery and sharing it with others.

Delicious, clean and high quality food. The best short read crust cheesecake with berries on top I have ever had! Must stop and eat. Great salads and croissant sandwiches, too.
