My wife and I decided to eat lunch in Mertzon this afternoon and selected Las Palomas Cafe due to its review rating. We were very pleased the whole experience. Manuel treated us like old friends. Listened my wife's dietary concerns and made excellent suggestions. The food was excellent, large proportions, hot and came out fast. We had the Mexican food, but others highly rated their American food.

This is the second time that we have had lunch there. It was very nicely done. One of us had hamburger and fries cooked to order and good portion of french fries. Another had the combination plate, all beef with good flavor and it seemed bigger than the plate. I had carnitas fries, they were plentiful with lots of beef but I wish it had more vegetables. Excellent service.
