Stopped on the way home and had a great chopped sandwich. My wife had the ribs. All the food was great and the staff was very friendly.

Bacon wrapped shrimp - Chicken Fried Chicken it's all amazing never had any meal there that wasn't !! The wait was less than 5 minutes the waitress was top notch wished I remembered her name all in all always had good food and good service !

We ate at Mesquite Pit-Mineral Wells today for our 36th anniversary! We love all the waitstaff and employees and the food is top notch!! It’s our favorite place to eat! We drove from Granbury to Mineral Wells just to eat there today!! Absolutely awesome

I would give it five stars but the online ordering is very confusing. The website gives a Weatherford location option and my food ended up there. It's a long story but they claim it happens all the time. I can see how. The food is amazing though.

I don't live in Mineral Wells but I eat at this restaurant every time I go through here for camping or on the motorcycle. The food is great, service is great. The chicken fried steak is pretty much what you'd expect and a big portion, but the gilled items are exceptional such as grilled chicken and shrimp. Every side dish I have had is very good. The only complaint I have is you can't get grilled catfish on the grilled seafood plate, it's fried catfish. Not that it's bad but sometimes I prefer grilled over fried.

We did carry out bc they don't have outside seating where you can have dogs. Food was good and portions generous. I was surprised by amount of meat on my brisket plate. I'd prefer more smoke flavor but this is personal preference. Onion rings were nothing to write about. Good cooking but a little boring. Atmosphere is typical steak house - lots of wood and high ceilings.
Drove from Mesquite to try Mesquite Grilled Steaks. Neither my wife's steak or mine had any mesquite grilled taste. So do miss the old Trail Dust!

We had to go to White settlement, biit barn, on way back, Texas road house way way to busy, got to the pit just at the perfect time. Got seated rite away, service, pretty quick, food great, no body seemed to mind as we asked our Lord and Savior to bless the meal. Ya get what ya pay for, we'll save up and be back... For ? sure...

My family loved the fried green tomatoes and corn dodgers. The fried okra was a hit too.
The brisket was too lean for my liking but the pork ribs were meaty and the burgers were good.
