The food at Smokin Barrel was excellent. We tried several different dishes, but the hit was definitely the brisket jalapeño poppers. The service was very quick and friendly.

Good food, we went early on a Friday night hardly anybody in the restaurant. We did have to wait a few minutes before we got seated. Ambience is more of a western theme and was clean. The food was good, the brisket had a nice smoky flavor not a lot of seasoning, but the smoky flavor brought out the flavor of the meat. The ribs had more seasoning on it and also the smoky flavor, the ribs were delicious. The wrap had grille chicken with a buffalo sauce. We had a lot of food left over. The margarita was tasty, but didn't seem to have much tequila. Would definitely eat here again.

I ordered brisket nachos because I wasn't real hungry. $12.00 presentation was nice n pretty but no flavor at all. So THANK GOD I only ate 5 or 6 of them. I live 35 minutes away and barely got home in time to be sick. And boy was I sick for 36 hrs . How can obvious rotten old food have NO flavor. I don't know. So I thought I'd call the restaurant and tell the manager instead of writing a bad review. But I have called and the manager won't even speak to me which makes all of this even worse. Apparently they know they poison people there and won't talk about it. I won't be back.

When we walked in, there was one table of people in the whole place. We told them it was for 5 and they went back to a group of wait staff standing around and discussed where to put us. I wouldn’t have thought too much about it other than how long it took. The food was pretty good, but the waiter we had was so rude. We have 3 kids and I share my drink with them so that they don’t drink too much and not have room for their meal. Also, I don’t want the chance of them spilling cups. We do this everywhere we go. I ordered my drink and said I’d share with the kids, he gave me a very condescending look. Then he went on explaining the kids meals are big and could be shared between two of the kids. When he brings the drinks out, he informs us that they’re not supposed to allow us to share drinks with the kids… the way he spoke to us and then told us we can’t share drinks, but the kids could share a meal. Very sad that the wait staff ruined the chances of us returning.

The service was great & the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. The food was subpar, definitely, needs more seasoning. There's only one cut of steak to choose from, I guess I anticipated more since there's a steak & seafood section on the menu. Prices seem high for what you get. Just my thoughts.
