We are spending the winter working in south Texas. Winter Texans as they call those who choose to evade the cold of the north and head south. The area is a melting pot of french and spanish speaking people. It makes for quite an interesting time. This place is located right outside of our RV Resort. It only offers breakfast and lunch so it is not our typical dining out times. However, one Sunday lunch time we were able to make the stop. The atmosphere is not anything exceptional. It has a diverse grouping of tables with worn table coverings. Service was good but nothing to rave about. The food was average. Nothing we had was great. We ordered fajitas and a breakfast plate for our meals. We would return here but only because of our proximity to our winter home. Our ratings: Food 3 stars Value 3 stars Atmosphere 3 stars Romantic Appeal 2 stars Renown 2 stars Service 3 stars These average to 2.7 stars so we will round up to a 3 star rating.

We ate with a small group from our RV park and were delighted with our choice of breakfast locations. This small local restaurant had a delicious assortment of food that was served promptly. We totally enjoyed this restaurant and will certainly return.

Don Lupes is a great restaurant so close to home. Chili Rellenos is one of my favorites. The fried fish is another popular meal in our group.
