I recently visited La Fogata in Mission, TX, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The menu advertised a prime ribeye, but the cut I received was poor quality and did not taste good at all.
What made the visit worse was the service at the entrance. My group arrived dressed formally (though not fancy), yet the host insisted on seating us in the bar area instead of the main dining room. This made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Overall, the service and the food did not meet expectations. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements.

While the service was great, the prices for their food were RIDICULOUS. $100 for a parrillera for 4. The place was DIRTY. I took some old stuck food from my chair and a fork I hadn't even used had caked on food. My daughter's plate has a crusty film with badly washed dishes. I will NEVER go there again.

Excellent service and food. Had the beef fillet with bone marrow filling (relleno de tuetano). Beef you can cut with your fork, medium with pink inside.
Ordered to have ready for pick up. Still had to wait 15 minutes after arrival for pick up.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant however, we went on Saturday after an event. I ordered my usual cabrito en salsa, my husband panchos with fajita and my son ordered rice with octopus. They got my husbands order wrong! My cabrito came cold with approx 5 small pieces. Our waitress was horrible! I am only writing this review because this used to be one of our favorite restaurants and my favorite place to eat cabrito….. I can’t say that we will be going back….. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with all the deportations but I must say that it is now subpar! Sad customer!

What a disappointment! It has been a minute since the wife and I have had time to go have a dinner date. We chose La Fogata, Huge mistake! Walked out hungry and feeling like we had just spent $150 on garbage. Ordered the stuffed shrimp for my wife served with cheap broken rice with a ice-cream scoop of cafeteria grade mashed potatoes. Definitely not worth $26, so I ordered the snapper enpapelado (en papillote) which came in cheap aluminum foil not paper and was severely undercooked! Sent it back and instead of a new prepared dish that i am spending $30 on, the kitchen just made a new foil pouch then proceeded to overcook that poor fish. Apps were the ribeye chicharron mid im being generous, the fogata mushrooms were good ice was cold. If I could give a negative star I would
