My buddy invited me for lunch at Mariscos El 7 Mares. He wanted me to try the Fried Shrimp. He ordered fish Tacos and a bowl of Shrimp soup. I ordered the Fried Shrimp $18.99 it came with fries, salald, and rice. ill get back to the fried shrimp, I have to tell you about the Ceviche. After we ordered our iced teas, we were brought a small plate that had a small ramekin of salsa on it. Next to the ramekin was limes and Ceviche !! There was chips as well. I could have ordered a whole bowl of the Ceviche , that's how good it was. Something so simple , yet so wonderful. The texture was amazing . Back to the Shrimp. Everything on my plate was really good, the Shrimp were a decent size and perfectly fried. Whoever is breading the shrimp , you make them all the same size, butterflied exactly alike, and fried golden perfect. The salad super fresh, and the rice was on point. I didn't get to price my friends plate but he really raved about the soup first, then the Tacos. I like the way they fill up the fish Tacos and the way they are presented on this Taco stand, it looks like it makes them easy to pick up and eat. I now have to go back and try the Caldo ( soup) de Mariscos (seafood)
I also want to give a shout-out on the service, it was truly on point. Never had to ask for anything!!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with some a delicious little ceviche like starter with a caldo and some totopos. All really delicious and on the house. The servers are constantly working hard to ensure satisfaction. I ordered the Camarones al mojo de ajo. It was delicious and exactly what I needed. Even at the end I got a lolipop. It’s good to see there are still places like this that make it feel like it’s all about the customer.

Excellent! Wonderful service. First out were chips and ceviche followed by seafood soup. Our order was taken and quickly came to the table. I had shrimp torta and my wife had seafood stuffed chili rellenos. Both were fantastic! We enjoyed cucumber lemonade to drink. We will return!

Brought my mom for dinner. 630 pm. Greeted promptly. Had our drinks and were ordering with 10 minutes.
Had a medium sized fish and shrimp soup. It was very flavorful and had a lot of fish and shrimp.
I also ordered a basic fried fish and fried shrimp plate. The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked. Was not dry at all. The shrimp was also perfectly cooked.
Had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Restaurant Review – 7 Mares Seafood Restaurant (Griffin Parkway, Mission, TX)

Our experience at 7 Mares on Friday, March 21, was, unfortunately, one of the worst we’ve had at any restaurant. A group of six coworkers and I arrived around 12 p.m., expecting a quick and pleasant lunch like we’d enjoyed in the past. Sadly, this visit was anything but.

Our waitress, Delia, greeted us and brought menus promptly, but that’s where the service began to unravel. It took nearly 15 minutes before she returned with chips and salsa. She then took our drink orders and began taking food orders from the table. I was the first to order off the lunch special menu, but before I could finish, she abruptly walked away without saying anything. A minute later, she returned and mentioned she had to check if the lunch specials were still available.

The rest of the table proceeded to order their drinks and lunch specials, hoping for clarity, but we waited another 25 minutes with no update. After this long wait, she returned to replenish the chips and salsa—but still, no food or clarification on our orders. About 10 minutes after that, she finally came back to inform us that the lunch specials were not available after all. She didn’t clarify whether they had run out or if there was another issue, but by then, we had been sitting there for nearly 45 minutes without any food.

Frustrated and hungry, we told her we’d be leaving. She left briefly, then returned and said we would have to pay for our drinks (which were only sodas and water)… a moment later she said we would not have to, because the manager had waived the charges.

While we appreciated that small gesture, it didn’t make up for the wasted time and poor service. Having visited this restaurant over 30 times in the past year and a half, we expected much better. Sadly, this experience left us feeling disappointed and disrespected, and it’s enough to make us reconsider ever coming back.

Hopefully, management takes this feedback seriously to prevent other customers from having similarly frustrating experiences.

We love it here!!! Amazing customer service.. the owner is the sweetest person he goes table by table making sure everything is amazing!!

The only thing I would like is veggies in the caldos.. but other than that the flavors are so good!!

I know it’s caldo de Camaron but I like veggies in my caldo lol
