We sat in the Jasmine Room with Seth as our waiter. He was very helpful and patient when explaining the menu. The food and drinks were all delicious as well.
I had the Porkbelly pancake which was Savory with the added sweetness of a pancake you'd want for brunch. The porkbelly itself was also perfectly crispy while still maintaining all the flavor on the inside.
My friend ordered the Cornbread and Gravy which she described as flavorful with a bit of a kick.
The Biscuits themselves were huge and could probably be eaten by two people.
Would very much recommend as a place to meet up with your family or friends

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on our first time at this place. Our server, Melquiades, was attentive and welcoming. We had chilaquiles and omelette as well as a waffle which were delicious. Our favorite thing was the delicious lavender lattes.

First and last time I take my family. I never received my plate server went to the table once and never saw him again worst place to go eat 10 thumbs down!!!

Food was good.I had the Bees knees breakfast hearty and flavorful. Mel was our waitperson very professional and courteous. The ambiance is perfect for couples. One item I wasn’t a fan of was the jalapeno cornbread. The muffin was anemic dry and was sweet. I guess my minds eye had something else in mind.

The past 4 visits I got the catfish tacos. I think I may be addicted to them. They are so good.

Went to go enjoy my meal last week and I was going to approach the register area in which I saw an older management man mistreating workers; getting visibly angry and the employees looked intimidated. I will never support this market ever again after seeing that. Hostile work environment if I’ve ever seen one. Management should be held accountable for their actions. Hopes this reaches anyone planning on going.

We waited an hour after ordering for food to be ready and we let them know we were missing a plate and still took an extra 45 minutes. Our server did not check up on our table we had to let the host know. Chicken fried steak was chewy… not good

The restaurant is beautiful, service is great, and the coffee is very tasty. My issue is with the food. The biscuits are dry and flavorless. The frittata was more like a crispy and greasy omelette but it was packed with veggies which I appreciated. The salsa that comes on the side was good and spicy but if you need sauce to make your food taste edible, it’s a no for me. My husband and I spent $60 plus tip and only really loved the coffee and waffle. The waffle was soft, warm, and had a lot of flavor. However, we will not be back due to poor tasting food.

After reading the reviews I took my chance coming over for the first time. Alot complaints… Brought my family of 3 and got sat down as soon as we got there. Server Evelyn provided great service and was attentive and kid friendly. Started with a Cinnamon Latte coffee which was one of the best ive tasted reccom by our server.
Also got the Texas ranger plate which was also delicious and full of flavor also a reccomendation of our server.
No complaints whatsoever, and our first experience here was a great one.

First time here, and ordered the low country and bee’s knees with an iced latte. Absolutely delicious, tastes like southern comfort food. Definitely will come back. Michael (our server) gave us exceptional service, making sure we were taken care of. 10/10 would come back

Refused service because of an hour wait time and after that hour is up they would close in 30 more mins so we were turned away at the door. I guess this business must be doing really well to refuse customers when they would still technically be open. Lazy and unprofessional. I work in fast food and we take orders down to the last minute, heck we've even took orders 5 mins past close, but I guess this business does not value their paying customers. sad.

I absolutely love Southern Roots! They did a beautiful job on the floral arrangement for my mom’s birthday. It was unique, fresh, and thoughtfully put together—something completely different from the typical bouquet, and we loved it! You can tell they take pride in their work. Highly recommend!
