They have a bad attitude. Poor customer service.
No yellow corn tortillas available and Barbacoa was very greasy.
For Mexicans, a Sunday isn't complete unless you started it with some barbacoa and menudo...am I right?
This tortillería offers white/yellow corn tortillas, a variety of freshly made salsas, barbacoa, carnitas, and menudo on the weekends.
This place would easily be 5 stars...but the quality of the menudo has dropped. With every order of carnitas or barbacoa, they give you their housemade green and red salsas...my particular fave is the green salsa. It's not spicy...has a nice tang to it...and pairs perfectly with the barbacoa. They also have other salsas: chimichurri, guacamole, habanero...
The barbacoa and carnitas don't have much fat on them...and are seasoned well. A half-pound goes down in 2-3 tacos...it is that tasty.
But the menudo...about 2 years ago it was perfect. It had the right amount of tripe/corn ratio...the meat was tender and it was trimmed nicely.
Recently though, whether I just got a bad batch, or the cook was in a hurry...but twice in a row, the menudo I received was not trimmed well. There was so much fat floating on top...and chunks on the pieces, it was inedible.
If I was grading the menudo alone...it would be a 1 star. But considering their tortillas, fresh salsas, combined with their barbacoa and carnitas...they still get 1 star for each item.
Just stay away from the menudo...
Literally $22 for a pound of Mexican barbecue half a pack of tortillas go to Jesse supermarket it's a lot better not greasy and get a better price and I still have $6 left over for beer too or 3
Great carnitas and there tortillas are amazing

Best BBQ and Queso Fresco in the Rio Grande Valley
Every time I go, they treat me very well until today, blessings for them
People there think it's a big deal, nothing to see. You pay them a pound and they give you extra to charge more. They tell you there's just enough for you to go and nothing. The tortillas are nothing like Carmelita's. Disgust of people. Greasy barbecue, nothing like before, the Reynera is better and better priced
Lady gave me what was left in the container as they were changing the barbacoa, I told her that I wanted some meat from the top of the new one because she had given me the one in the bottom with lots of grease and instead of doing as I asked her she told me that what she gave me was fine and showed me and it looked messy as left overs, I got so upset and just left it like that, Never coming back who wants to buy left overs of barbacoa.

The warm yellow tortillas here are the best in the world, they are the only ones I have eaten since I tried them.
Line outside mover really fast. Great Barbacoa. I like the one made from Lamb
I went to get white torillas, my mother loves those from Aries. There is a gentleman with glasses that need a correction in attitude, a customer service orientation and manners. There was no line and only my to attend and still this guy had poor manners.
Nunca tienen tortillas amarillas, ya es la cuarta vez que voy y no hay.
How bout that attitude with my tortillas and the poor response from the location manager who said "ni modo" when I commented about being rushed to respond quickly. I was asked to move along cause I was slowing the customer flow with only one person behind me. As I responded "is that how you treat customers" I got a second NI MODO n was greated with a synical laugh. Well never mind then I'll buy from the guy on the next block n definitely spread the word of my poor experience.
