The food was hot and fresh. The cornmeal coating was too crumbly and the presentation was not favorable. But I will say, the person waiting on me was friendly and brought the meal to my car. Good but definitely great.
I've been going here for almost 20 years. The fish is always crunchy and crispy like I like it. They use cornmeal like at the house. It's always seasoned, not too salty not to bland. I go back ever so often when it's open. This is the best fried fish outside of my own kitchen. Pappadeaux needs to buy her recipe.
I tried this place cause I saw it listed as a BOB and the reviews were good. I walked in and ordered and there was a 25-30 min wait (I should have called ahead). I ordered the special with the filet & 3 shrimp. I ordered the 3 filets for my mom. My filet was very small but all 3 of my mom's were a nice size. ☹ I requested gumbo and peach cobbler but neither were available. The swamp water (cherry lemonade) was good.
