Where do I even start with Gong Cha? My love for boba began right here. My sister invited me to try it for the first time, suggesting I go for the taro milk tea with pearls. One sip, and I was hooked! Now, I’m officially a boba addict. I love that they have a rewards system—hit 50 points, and you get $5 off, which is a nice little perk. I’ve tried plenty of boba spots, but nothing else has come close to Gong Cha. They even have cute trinkets like plush toys for sale. Everyone I’ve met here has been super friendly, and I can’t recommend this place enough if you haven’t checked it out already!
Since Gong Cha came under new management, the quality has declined. The milk tea tastes very watery, and they use too much fruit syrup in the fruit teas. Additionally, the service is extremely slow, even when it’s not busy.

There’s only one person working in the store. I came yesterday and today. Yesterday, I waited nearly 15 minutes for just one bubble tea. Today, I paid, and the staff member was on the phone, possibly trying to figure out the cashier system, but she spent the entire time on the phone instead of finishing my order. I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes and still haven’t gotten my tea. I don’t mind waiting since I’m working on my laptop, but this wait time is ridiculously long for a simple order.
