The Cactus Jack taco isn't good. And it was my first time trying jackfruit and it was sweet. It did not taste like j**** The most disappointing thing was their PICO. It's not pico, it's canned ROTEL!!!!The 8th Wonder Chicken Quesadilla was cool.& They keep closing the door to the kitchen behind them, every single time, as if the kitchen is dirty.

Food tasted amazing. I ordered The Bun B (pictured with the ground beef), The Stallion (the other picture), and The Truth (forgot to take a picture before eating). I recommend The Stallion out of the three. It had a slight kick to it combined with the steak. Service was relatively fast. Be in mind the prices are per taco. Would go back for sure.

My boyfriend and I ate at this place this past Monday and it was actually descent. We came back to today and I brought my sister because I wanted her to try it and the food was not good. I had got the trill tots and and the potato's tasted like old grease. The food temperature felt like it had been sitting there before being brought out. My sister gad gotten the Birria tacos with consommé. The beef had no flavor and neither did the sauce. My boyfriend had the big burrito and it was lacking in flavor for the most part with the beans and the rice. The chicken on the inside was good but that's about all. When my boyfriend tried to talk to the tall guy, who seemed to be the manager on duty, he was very very rude! He mumbled something under his breath and threw his hand up and walked away towards the back, which I found disrespectful. We sat there a little while longer and the supposed manager came back out and walked out the front door. The front hostess came over and apologized on his behalf saying she thinks he's having a bad day and she apologized for his behavior and asked if we needed anything it's on her, which I thought was very courageous and kind of her because it's not the job of the associate to apologize for a manager who should know how to conduct himself while dealing with a customer. That's just what great customer service is. I definitely won't be back just based on the experience alone. I hope the service gets better because the business has potential but I hate to say I won't be able to support.

This was my 1st time trying Trill Taco because on Yelp the food looked so delicious and they offered vegan options for me so I went! I ordered the flame nachos with jackfruit and my friend had the birria tacos. Right off the bat we realized the portion did add up with price. My friend enjoyed her birria tacos and my flame nachos where decent. The toppings were not much of anything. The jackfruit was seasoned very nicely, yet the tortilla chips tasted stale. I asked for another plate or for any suggestions sense after only tasting two chips my jaw was putting too much work just to eat and I wanted to enjoy my meal since I paid for it. An older woman came from the back and said that they were "fresh and she'd just taken them out the fryer... " I responded "oh okay, the food taste good it's just they are a little too hard for me" she replied "so what, you want a refund?" This is a red flag because she didn't offer any solutions to help the problem such as: "okay I can whip up another batch and not cook them as long for you" or is there any thing on the menu we can replace for you sense you were not satisfied with this choice?" She proceeded to give me attitude when I asked for another vegan option which was less than the price of my original order and said "I was going to use up all of their jackfruit." So I politely asked for a refund to not cause any trouble. She walked away not saying a word or apologies for my dissatisfaction and then 10 minutes later another worker comes in with a taco for me. I would say the food was good, but it wasn't great and customer service will unfortunately not have me back here. I hope this helps to improve the establishment as it has great potential.

Nothing outstanding. I had the stallion and the Bun B. The stallion was just ok - the meat was shredded and almost mushy. The filling was a good amount though. They mislabeled my tacos, so I thought I was eating a Bun B when it was really the stallion. The Bun B was a travesty to its namesake. I expected this taco to be outstanding, to be named after a Houston rap legend. But this taco fell short. The meat was severely unseasoned. There was a funny aftertaste to it. I couldn't even finish it, it was so bad. I couldn't tell if the ground beef was boiled or browned. My husband got the S-U-C, and said it was decent. Probably the best of the 3 we got. The curried chicken was a nice touch. Overall, I don't think I'll return. I love supporting small businesses but this ain't it.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long while. It's nice to be so Htown and then walk into a restaurant that expresses exactly what Houston is about. I got the chicken tacos it had a dope name that fit well but i forget what it was. Taco was amazing full of food im legit happy. No complaints. A must try!

Great spot with vegan options. I had a Cactus Jack Taco made with J*** jackfruit, red cabbage, plantain chips etc. It was delicious with just the right amount of spice and heat. Customer service was great. My server, Samuel was professional, friendly and understand health and sanitation protocol. I watched him throw something in the trash, removed current gloves and then put on a fresh pair. He understood the assignment LOL. Sam 4 the win!

What in the H E double Hockey sticks kind of stuff is that! 3rd graders are eating better lunch at school! I mean seriously I'd rather eat a taco from Jack in the box because Atleast they put lettuce or something on it. The screwed up taco was decent, but definitely not worth me coming back to try more items on the menu

Ate here with my parents and wow! We were very impressed! The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was great, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Also love that they have vegan options. The jackfruit tacos were the best! Really hoping for another location inside the loop :)
