McGinty's Best Thing Smoking BBQ

I was very impressed with the portion sizes, very generous. The brisket lived up to the reviews and chatter about this place. The Mac and cheese was so good, along with the potato salad. I will be back when I pass through town again.

I have already recommended it to friends, telling them the place is a hole in the wall but well worth the stop.

Shared a 3 meat plate of ribs, brisket & pulled pork with potato salad and baked beans. Everything was fabulous! Food came out quickly and the portions were quite large. More than enough for the two of us.

I ordered 1 pound of brisket and sides to take out. Drove to Houston without checking the bag. When I opened it, they only put the sides in the bag. I am asking for my $29 refund.

Smokin’ good food, really hospitable

There are a few tables outside but we always get ours to go. This is some of the best brisket I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Just the right amount of smoke and very moist. The ribs are absolutely competition quality being perfectly seasoned and smoked for just the right amount of time and then served with a perfect bite. We always get the potatoes and the baked beans for our sides but if they are any indication all of the sides are good. We are about 30 minutes away and I suggest calling your order in. Two plates give us enough for 2 meals because the portions are big. Don’t miss this. It’s like the bbq places I grew up around. 6 stars!

I was looking for some good barbecue since moving to Navasota and I found it. I would recommend them to anybody.

FRESH Fried Okra not frozen okra. FRESH Fries. Mouth watering. I order Hamburger, fries, okra and Shredded Brisket Sandwich. I love when bar-b-que shredded brisket does not have Fat, I will throw it away if there's fat. Service was amazing, food amazing, ambience amazing and quaint. Nothing spectular except the food.

Good shrimp poboy. Quaint little spot, but don't let that get you down because the food is well made. The sandwich was loaded with lots of crispy flavorful shrimp, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. They have 2 kinds of mayo, regular and jalapeño for your po boy. Fries were seasoned right, and it was a big portion altogether. So happy.
