I got the Ville Platte Fish & Shrimp, the fish was moist and flaky, the shrimp were fried perfectly, the hash puppies & fry’s were done right, plus she has a homemade sauce for dipping the shrimp, it was so good I was putting it on everything including the fry’s. Everything was made fresh and NOT greasy, and you better try the Boudin Eggroll! True Cajun cooks, they know what they’re doing!!

We had been eyeing this food truck for a while and finally decided to stop by, and we’re so glad we did! Even though the owner had just closed, she immediately noticed we were first-time customers and graciously took our order anyway. That gesture alone spoke volumes about their amazing customer service.
We ordered the Voodoo Crab Cakes with shrimp & dirty rice and everything was absolutely delicious. On top of the great food, the owner took the time to walk us through the menu, share the origins of the dishes, and explain the meaning behind some of the names. It was both fascinating and heartwarming to hear their story. The food was outstanding, the hospitality even better, and we will definitely be back for more!

Today I tried the Cajun food at Bayou City Swamp food truck for the first time. Let me just say that my roots are from Louisiana and I have had authentic Cajun cuisine made by my Mémère and this brought me all the way back home. The house sauce is delicious and the crab cakes are so fresh and a great size very well cooked and seasoned. The shrimp had great breading, but the rice is definitely my favorite though. Rice can be so basic and everyone makes it differently but they really brought out the Cajun soul in every aspect including their rice. merci beaucoup! I will be back!
