Ridge our waiter was amazing in Lafayette Louisiana
We arrived at 7:00 p.m. on a weekday night with a party of seven. The restaurant was maybe 35% full — yet the hostess told us it would be a 15-minute wait. Oddly, he said he was waiting to seat us for a specific table (where guests were still eating) instead of simply joining two other open tables together. After 40 minutes of waiting, the hostess — who was rude and gave us attitude — finally seated us. By the time we got our first drinks, it was 7:47 p.m. I’ve worked in the restaurant business, and I completely understand when there are legitimate waits or delays due to staffing or cleaning tables. But that wasn’t the case here. There were plenty of open tables, and we could have been seated immediately. To make things worse, the manager noticed our frustration, kept looking our way, but never came over to check on us. She clearly saw the situation and chose to ignore it.
It is a little loud but the staff is excellant and the steak is tender and cooked perfectly

We ate at the Saltgrass in Porter Friday night & the ate dinner at the Saltgrass in Galveston Saturday night. Great food as usual, just prices are hard to take now.

We love to visit all the Saltgrass locations, we were sitting at the patio, the host was friendly but she ignored the fact that the table and chairs were super dirty with much dust all over them. She stated that, “all the tables were like that.“ Who wants to sit on a pile of dust and eat on a table with so much dust?
I asked for a napkin or something to clean it myself, she brought a paper napkin, instead of asking an associate to clean it… I used a cloth napkin from my table.
Bri came to serve us and she was nice, and friendly.

Pretty disappointing and aggravating to show up having made an online reservation at your Wichita Kansas location. Only to be told we should “call in reservations because the online reservations don’t usually show up on the hostess side”. We now have a 30-60 minute wait for what we were under the impression would be next to nothing. Also a really awkward and potentially unnecessarily stressful position to put staff in by not making it known to the public via social media. We always enjoy the food and drinks but this definitely put a “bad taste” in our mouth.
During my first visit to Saltgrass Steak House, I was eager to experience the restaurant, as a companion who had previously visited other locations had recommended it highly. Unfortunately, we did not have a reservation. Upon our arrival, we were asked whether we preferred seating on the patio or indoors. We opted to dine inside. The hostess then allocated us the least desirable table in the establishment — positioned at the rear near the kitchen doors. Every time the doors opened, it was possible to see into the kitchen, which resulted in considerable noise. This made it difficult to hear my guest's conversation, causing a level of discomfort and frustration. I found myself questioning the reason for being seated in such an inconvenient location. The food quality was rated as a 7 out of 10; however, my enjoyment was diminished by the visible frustration of the staff working near the kitchen doors. Due to the background noise, conversation between myself and my guest was severely impacted, leading us to cease attempting to communicate effectively. I informed my guest that I would not be leaving a full 100% gratuity, partly because the waitress was occupied with other tables. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not meet my expectations.

We had a party of 3 on October 2, 2025. The waitress was not very friendly but that was fine. We ordered our food - a couple arrived at a table next to us 20 minutes later & another couple 10 minutes later. Both families ate & left before we got our food. I finally called for the manager & she said our food was up. She did not seem concerned by our wait. 2 of the 3 meals were cold when we got them. We have eaten at Salt Grass for over 20 years and this was By Far Our Worst Experience Ever. Thank you.

visited a few days ago and Madison was AMAZING. she provided me and my husband super attentive service and was SO funny. seriously has be cracking up our whole visit. She was the highlight of my shitty day and i am so grateful. The food was amazing, the drinks were MUCH NEEDED, and when I say I've never had an experience this good at Saltgrass anywhere i mean it. We will def be back, and i will make sure to request Madison as my server every time.

Dig it. Good stuff. Service was great. Really wanted a non alcoholic beer, but they were out. 😓
Other than that, I would recommend the place. Perfect for a weekday afternoon to beat the crowds. 👍

Had some of the best service I’ve ever had since I’ve moved to texas. steakhouses are my favorite and now ill only be dining in if I can have Tay as a waitress ever time.
