This place is closed but it's in my hometown of Nordheim,Texas. Played here a many a day an night with friends from school. This town is just like Mayberry everybody knows everybody and so friendly. Little over 300 population. This bar had the original countertop brass bar. The people that used to run were just wonderful many years ago. Went to school with their grandchildren. Hopefully one day it reopens.

Kid-friendliness: It's a family-oriented get-together. In a very nice little area of Texas.

I visited there tonight and waited for a couple of friends to show up to have dinner. They were delayed a bit so I while I waited I had a few cold beers, mind you it was getting close to 9 pm on a weekday. After asking the waitress what time the kitchen closed, she informed me it was to close at 9. So I went ahead and ordered a couple of burgers and fries to go with less than 10 minutes left until the kitchen closed. The staff was extremely polite even though I placed an order so late. When my friends finally arrived we were able to enjoy a few beers each and listen to the live music being performed. The staff never rushed us out as were as courteous as ever. My friends and I were able to finish our beer and enjoy the closing of the bar without any fuss at all. I absolutely loved the entire experience my friends and I enjoyed tonight. A very big thank you to the kitchen staff and waitresses who worked tonight. A+ service all around. It was very much appreciated. :)

My favorite place to eat. Best burgers in DeWitt County! Had the fish tonight and it was beyond amazing! I have never had anything I didn’t love. Staff is always super friendly and helpful.

Friday night steak night was great. Steak was cooked perfect. I live everything about this bar. I work in O&G and came in for a couple of beers one night. The building is rich with history. I started looking around at all of the original components and the owner happen to be there and saw me. She told me the history of the building and how they brought it back to life. If you’re passing through and live Texas history this is a must stop.
