Passing through from Phoenix to Atlanta stumbled upon this place.. Right off the 10, and as we got closer you could tell this place was legit.. Being on the road we arrived in between the lunch and dinner shifts and it was nearly empty.. Staff was helpful and we opted for a quick bite.. First thing I was asked is do you want tea.. You got sweet? Of course, and then I get a whole picture.. In the south we don't do it this way.. Was quite experience.. Opted for a burger and fries.. Came with candied bacon and garlic fries.. Probably one of best burgers I have ever had in terms of taste, portion and overall experience.. Wish I had time for one of their legendary steaks.. Not from Odessa to compare against other local restaurants, but as an outsider this spot gets top marks.. If you are looking for great food, a casual atmosphere, and an overall epic place go here..

This was our first time to visit. Im not sure why it was so unorganized the night we visited but it took 30 minutes for our waiter to fjnaly take our order. Then people that came in way after us got their food ahead of us and we finaly ask our waiter about our food he said let me check well I guess he found 2 plates that were ready and he brought them out and they were not our orders at all. so we had been waiting almost 2 hours at this point so we told him we would just eat it because it was late and we live a hour and half from there. My husband ordered a rare large rib eye and he got a very small very well done steak of somekind. It was like leather. None of the sides were what we ordered. But we ate it anyway and about the time we finished a waitress brought the plates we ordered out to our table and looked suprised that we were almost done eating. She knew she had the plates for our table. We figured our order had gotten misplaced and the waiter brought us someone elses order because we had been there so long. We had been told it was a very good place to eat so Im not sure what had happened that night. The waiter did give us a discount but it was too expensive not to get what you pay for there. I don't normally leave bad reviews but we only eat out occasionally and we were very disappointed.

Today. 11-07-23 my birthday. I came for what I craved... a chicken fried steak. It was way to greasy and the batter didn't stick to it at all. I'm so disappointed. Whatever this place had, they don't have it anymore

Whoever sees this, save yourself a lot of disappointment and go to another restaurant! Legendary, in what? Poor service, being ignored, waiting 45 minutes for your order only to be told, "I forgot to put your order in" and then wait some more! We finally just left and ate at Panda Express instead. This place should be shut down...period!! What a joke....

Where do I begin, lol?! The food is not what it used to be back in the day, sometimes it's lukewarm, wrong items, salty, even cool to the touch. I had quit going for a while but the last time I went I was still disappointed. The staff sometimes seem to be frustrated and disappear when you need refills and to-go boxes, maybe because they had been understaffed. The atmosphere lacks excitement and needs more lighting.

Really was thinking of a nice dinner after seeing the first few reviews. 8 oz ribeye was cut too thin to be cooked med rare as requested. Too much gristle and fat. I asked for the mushrooms. They came on top of the ribeye. I scraped them off due to extreme saltiness. Slow service for the few customers there on a Wednesday night. Merlot was warm so the waitress added ice without my permission. I asked for the wine only if it was going to be cool. Not a great meal. Don't recommend.
I trust Tripadvisor when looking for restaurants when traveling and this place was as good as I expected it to be. Looking for a good but reasonable place to get a steak and this fit the bill nicely. We had sirloins and a prime rib and they were good and cooked to order. Although the prime rib was good, very large, and cooked to order, it was a little on the chewier side. Not tough per say but not as tender as I’ve had. The price was entirely reasonable. The server and other staff were very friendly, helpful, and were always available. Overall it was a very good experience and i would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced but still good restaurant of this type. Easy to find, plenty of parking and a large dining space.

Excellent service from Christina! I was seated in the depot. It was cold in there, but I was told that was unusual. I had 12 Oz sirloin medium rare and it was cooked perfectly! Definitely eat here again

An old staple of West Texas. Loved this place growing up from Abilene to Odessa. Nice to find one still around. Food was good, just like I remembered. Service was prompt and courteous.

Christina did an amazing job! 10/10 recommend her and this delicious place.I had the thickest cut rib eye steak with a loaded baked potato. And my coworker had the 30 oz prime rib. All recommendations from our amazing server.We tried the wings as an appetizer. The buttermilk chess and cheesecake.Simply delicious and relaxing atmosphere!

We loved coming here for lunch in the bar, complementary veggie soup w rice and bread. We ordered the senior cheeseburgers with your choice of side. The burgers are really delicious, the service is professional and courteous. There is a buffet in the bar as well. We also ordered the haystack. Be careful with that deliciousness! I'll ask if they have half orders next visit.
