For $125 per person plus drinks. Food was cold, did not taste fresh and wasn't extravagant as they portrayed in their marketing. Good idea, but poor presentation.

we have always had great service here and we love how quiet it is here. the food is always superb, but every once in a while, a new dish just isn't great.

We had Christmas Eve lunch at Barrel & Derrick and we couldn't had better experience! The service and food was exceptional !

Yesterday, I had a surprise date there. We were so excited. This was our first time dining together. We walked in, the place was nice. As we walked to the host’s stand we were greeted with irritation from one of the staff members. We ignored it and continued being excited. The irritated staff member was Yesenia and she would be our waitress. She took our drink orders. She came back several times rushing us to order. We were not ready. She and other staff members asked us a plethora of times to take our menus. Yesenia, finally comes over and says to us “If you are not ready to order, we will have to take the menus because we need them. This why we didn’t want to take other people without a reservation.” I explained to her that this was our first time here and we are on our first date and we are enjoying each other. I said, “ When we are ready to order, will you bring the menus back?” She glared at me for about 5 seconds and replied rudely, “They will be brought back to you because we need the menus. This is why we didn’t want to take anymore people without a reservation.” At that point, I was ready to go but my date insisted we stayed. We planned on ordering an appetizer and dessert but we ordered dinner and left. We will not be back. Yesenia was the worst server I ever encountered. She made sure we were aware that we were not wanted there. The food was amazing. The place was beautiful.

Update: I called to speak with a manager about my experience. Every staff that picked up the phone was rude. A manager Scott Derby, the director of food and beverage there answered the phone rudely, saying “Yeah!” “Who is this?” I responded, “I would like to speak to your manager because this is not starting off well. He responded, You want to speak to my manager because of? Who is this regarding?” I explained, “You answered the phone rudely. I no longer want to speak with you.” He hung up in my face.

Our server, Star, was simply outstanding. My wife and I were there to celebrate our 48th Wedding Anniversary. Star treated us like family and made this one of our best Anniversary celebrations.

5 star service every time!!! The food is beyond amazing. Its always fresh and exceeds expectations. The servers are extremely professional and accommodating. The atmosphere is good for a casual lunch but also elevated for an intimate date night dinner out.

I tried the brisket and eggs.
DELICIOUS!!! Can’t go wrong with it!

We’d been here a couple times and had good experiences, but was served a bad piece of meat the last time we were there and the service was well below what you expect at a place like this. Unlikely to return.

The buffet on this occasion was excellent. The service was amazing and all the staff was nice.

This place get 5 stars all around!!! Great service!! Amazing food and really relaxed and beautiful ambiance…The Wagyu beef burger and herb fries were delicious!!! I can say it’s the hands down the best burger I have EVER eaten!!! And I’ve eaten a lot of burgers😅 Love this place!!!

My wife and I had dinner at BARREL & DERRICK at 9pm on a Monday.

The modern deco dining room was big, clean and beautiful, with low lighting. We were sat immediately by our host at a comfortable booth. Our server was considerate & courteous. We started by sharing a Peach & Burrata Salad, and for the main course we ordered the smoked Turkey Avocado BLT with truffle parmesan fries, a side order of grilled broccolini, the Ultimate Chicken Fried Steak with whipped gold mash potato and house made jalapeño gravy, and a Elysian Space Dust IPA. All the food was phenomenal. This was probably the best Chicken Fried Steak I've ever had, perfectly breaded & fried. This was one of the best meals we had on our 10 day road trip. I would be surprised if BARREL & DERRICK wasn't the best restaurant in all of Odessa. We spent $113.66 including tip, and it was worth every penny.
