The atmosphere is very nice we were seated quickly the wait staff that evening was sub par I'm big on customer service especially when your paying 50 dollars a plate.. i ordered the fillet mignon medium rare and it came medium well it also had so much salt on it it was overwhelming 😅 🙃. Not sure if I'll be back for dinner I hear the brunch is good though.

I had the 16oz ribeye medium rare. Great taste but way to much grissle and fat for a supposed hand cut steak.

Best place in Odessa if you want a nice date night restaurant. I was expecting it to be disappointing, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll definitely go back.

Had a reservation they open table told me they didn't have it and that we would have to wait 15-20 mins . But never came to seat us ! So we ate in bar . Staff there was friendly and helpful .

We stay in this hotel several times a year but the evening service is constantly terrible if you're in that back room. It's hard to track anyone down. Drinks are slow. The next reservation if my group has to sit in the back again I'll dine elsewhere.

I recently stayed at the Marriott in Odessa, Texas, and had the pleasure of dining at their restaurant. The meal was exceptional, with every dish surpassing my expectations in terms of quality and taste. What truly made the experience special was the outstanding service provided by Patrick, our server, and Richard, the dining room manager.

Patrick's attentiveness and friendly demeanor ensured that we were well taken care of throughout the meal. He was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Richard's warm hospitality and professionalism were also evident, making us feel welcomed and valued as guests.

Overall, the combination of delicious food and top-notch service made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend dining at the Marriott in Odessa if you're in the area. Kudos to Patrick and Richard for their exceptional service!

Horrible Experience!
My family had plans to celebrate a big life event at Barrel and Derrick. We had a reservation for our party well in advance.
We should have known our experience would be lacking considerably when we arrived and were greeted by an empty hostess table where we stood for 10 minutes. Once seated, we waited an additional 40 minutes before half of our party received waters, the other half was neglected. Seeing the handwriting on the wall, and realizing the meal would be served with the same lack of consideration as the rest of the experience, we wisely left the poorly attended restaurant.
Odessa does not have many restaurant options that cater to a finer dining experience, Barrel and Derrick being one that supposedly does, though in actuality it is all hat and no cattle.
I recommend all readers to spend their time and money at a different establishment (you would have more fun at a Wendy’s) and never trust this restaurant to be anything but disappointing and ruinous for grand occasions.

Food was incredible had an amazing steak and bottle of Caymus wine Such a nice place for dinner with friends.

I don't review restuarants. Unless they are really good food or bad. This is bad. Order from dooordash or Uber eats. Much better steak.ask for medium well get well done

The place has a nice ambience, BUT the food was average at best, paid 60$ for a steak that came out over seasoned and well done when I asked for medium, steak was charred as well but not mentioned as so on the menu, chorizo was sitting around for a while and tasted stale, best thing was the herb fries. Overall a nice place with friendly staff, but the food is not the quality you're paying for. Do not recommend.

Great restaurant overall. Served was extremely polite. Area was really spaced out from other guest which was nice. Very elegant design throughout restaurant and hotel, 10/10 recommend
