I ordered a cake with a month in advanced, got together with Heather and went over details of the cake. Frosting, flavors, fillings, and characters and a picture of what was needed. Payed the deposit the same day. The day of the party, I went to pick up the cake and it was not what we had talked about for over 20+minutes during the first day. The cake was supposed to be for 75 people, the cake they delivered was for like around 38. I was in a hurry and did not want to make a big deal about it, well we go home cut the cake and it was not the flavors we had talked about we had a regular red velvet and vanilla cake. My request had been for a chocolate chip flavor and cheesecake flavor. Over priced and the owner did what she wanted and not what was asked for. I did not want to fight over this as her policy of NO REFUNDS… what was I going to get back… I just won’t come back and would definitely not recommend the place to anyone. The cake was not for 75 people.. for $250+ I don’t think so…

I was looking for a gender reveal cake, and Cake Mix truly delivered! Their response time was outstanding—I have never worked with a business that was so communicative and responsive. I was incredibly impressed by this level of service!
Not only did they execute my cake perfectly, but we absolutely loved it. We had a scheduling change and needed to adjust the date, and they were flexible and accommodating every step of the way. The entire experience was seamless, and I couldn’t recommend them more. Five stars and can't wait to use them again in the future!

Best damn little cake shop in West Texas. Kind friendly staff, great desserts and a nice little environment with blankets for sale. Also great prices. No seriously, they have very competitive prices.
We ordered a month in advance to secure early delivery on Mother's Day and answer any questions. We asked for the entire cake to look like the slice in the photo. A concept drawing was given which was edited to not have a blank slice with writing, but as you can see, it includes a top border. I assumed she understood this to be the blue border since she drew it. The cake itself had no top border of bright blue. Communication should have been had to clarify before decorating if she was unsure, hence ordering a month in advance. The flower shapes and colors look nothing like the inspiration photo, as you can see on the last photo. In fact it was pointed out the brown on the yellow flower looks like poo. Not pleasant. I was informed I would receive a photo before delivery. At near 11:30pm the night before Mother's Day I was messaged asking if delivery at 2pm was ok. This was my first hint that the cake was forgotten. At 2:30pm I requested an update. She was in the vehicle on her way to deliver and took a photo at that time of the cake in the box. She explained she had gotten backed up. I was immediately dissatisfied with the sight. By the time I could respond she had handed it to my mother, who of course was appreciative. The skill looks unprofessional and created in haste. By Cake Mix's shared photos and initial polite demeanor, I expected much more. By looking at their Facebook page, it appears they focused more on ready made cakes for walk-ins rather than our custom order of $110 before tip. The photos provided are those taken by Cake Mix. Expect lack of communication and skill, untimeliness. Rectification was requested before placing review. Review was preferred by Cake Mix.
