I’ve always loved El Taco Loco’s food trucks — the tacos are loaded, flavorful, and the consomé is rich and delicious. But the brick-and-mortar location just doesn’t measure up. They’ve tried it before on West University and it didn’t work out, and unfortunately, it’s the same story again. It feels like they’re cutting corners to cover rent — the tacos have way less meat, the flavor is bland, and the consomé tastes watered down. I don’t know why, but the quality just isn’t the same. If you want the real El Taco Loco experience, stick to the food trucks. That’s where they shine.
