This H-E-B is certainly better than no H-E-B. I've only recently discovered the glory of this chain grocery store in the past year. This Odessa, TX, location is conveniently located on 42nd Street. It is always crowded. The usual cons were experienced on Good Friday 2024: - limited baskets (grabbed one from parking lot) - crowded aisles - boxes and crates in the middle of the produce section (with no employees in sight) which created several bottlenecks - checkout lines moved slow when I was there at around 5:15PM - people can't park between the parking lot lines - sloth-like pedestrians who refuse to look at drivers... why y'all do that? - I hate how absurdly fast most Texans drive, then how stupidly slow others drive especially when exiting on the Grandview Ave side. Our shopping prices: - Morton & Bassett dried sage ($6.58) - Salt lick chicken seasoning ($3.98) - HCF turkey stuffing mix ($.93) - Stovetop chicken stuffing mix ($2.48) - Krusteaz natural cornbread mix ($2.14) - HEB natural boneless chicken breasts ($10) - Reddy 7-lb bag of ice ($2) - yellow onion ($1.38 per pound) - celery ($1.28) - Swanson natural chicken broth ($2.52) Pros: + mostly friendly customers + fast cashier, but why two grocery baggers? Seemed like overkill. + I really like their H-E-B line... more affordable than other bigger name products & just as good

I placed a delivery order around 3:45 on February 8th and it's now 9:30 and I still haven't received my order. Iam very upset and disappointed in H‑E‑B. I called to find out what's going on with my order and a lady answered the phone and she was very rude to me. People needs to stop shopping at this store. I know I will.

I do not recommend this HEB due to the workers. Some of the workers are awesome, the food is great, everything is great. I had to bag my own groceries while other employees just stood there and laughed at my pants, pointing and giggling. I was bagging at the end then she put some stuff in the bag behind the register and she forgot to give me my bag and left it on the metal rack thing. I spent about $100 for "4" bags. Well now 3. I went back over there and she said she must've gave the bag to the girl behind me. And I wanted a refund and then I never got it and they kept arguing back and fourth with me. I'm gonna start to shop at Walmart instead. I haven't ever had a problem with United supermarket, market street, Walmart, Sam club, or any other stores.

The aura and ambience was absolutely delightful. When I walk in the store, I feel at peace with my inner being. Immediately I was greeted by an attractive young latina who said "hi, welcome to HEB!" She was well maintained and probably should've been working in the bakery section with that cake of hers. Way better than the associates at the local Walmart. Here everything truly is better. Although I couldn't get her snap, I do plan on returning and rizzing her up. I believe that I have met my future ex-wife and now HEB will forever hold a spot inside my heart as the place where I discovered true young love.

I understand that your air-conditioning has been broken for a while now. I understand the things cannot always be fixed quickly. But not allowing your cashiers or front end staff to have fans or drinking water it’s ridiculous. Have y’all not been outside? Do you have any idea how hot it is? I will no longer be spending my hard earned money with a company that does not take care of their employees.

Just opened a brand new (sealed) container of H-E-B’s Quick Oats. There was a live bug in it. I understand this issue would be from your factory and not this particular location. I just didn’t know where to leave this information. I’m sure there will be or already has been other containers with this issue.
Yes, this is a complainer post - sorry. I hope you’ve already had dinner. Hopefully it was not HAM. I’m not much of a pork or ham eater - never have been, and can probably say I will never consume pork or ham again after this. Tonight I cooked a bone-in “fully cooked” ham from H-E-B, followed the instructions with the glaze, cooked it for 2.5 hours total time. All the sides were perfect! I took the ham out and it *looked* glorious in all its drippings and crisp edges. Then I call everyone to come eat - start cutting the ham... and then..... ??? What IS this!?!? It just kept getting worse! Obvious signs of bacteria, and food poisoning waiting to happen. I will never buy/cook/eat pork or ham again. Evaaaaaa again! I bought it 4 days ago and it’s been in my 36° fridge. This is THE nastiest thing I have experienced in a while. ?

First if you haven't been you should check it out - they have a HUGE variety of quality things that you won't find at some of the other stores. Second there are other stores obviously - this one consistently has customer friendly people through out the store - even when you ask the occasional silly question they are nice about it - the batteries were literally a few feet away when I asked. Finally and most importantly their prepared food is phenomenal. They have a wide variety which takes in to account most diets people are on. And these you definitely have to try out - I have yet to have a bad one. I would recommend HEB and this one in particular

I ordered a cake for my daughters 18th birthday. It was suppose to be pink marble on top and lavender border. It was yellowish green marble with lavender border. I needed a cake so we had to make it work. I won't be going back for special orders. I'll go elsewhere.

Terrible shopping experience! I bought a bear made of flowers. In a small box, there are some chocolates stuck with glue on the box. I don't like chocolate, but they stick to the box i Went to self check out the worker look at me with despise and ask me twice time about those chocolate is come with the bear or not! And then she kept looking at me, which made me feel like there was something wrong with this person

This is my favorite grocery store and I also get my medication is there everyone is nice and helpful and everything is easy to find prices are reasonable and they even do home delivery I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else other than H-E-B
