Takes forever to get your food! Took my son an hour to get his food yesterday and he ordered online. Last year I ordered online to pick up on my way to school for kids lunch and I had to leave the line to go get something else because it wasn’t ready 30 minutes after it was supposed to be.

Went thru drive thru late afternoon. Nobody in line asked for a menu since they don’t have one before or when you get to window. You would have thought I had asked for my tires to be changed! I literally looked to make sure I was at a restaurant because the attendant acted like she did not know what a menu was. She Finally found one and eventually came back to take my order Menu said soup of the day so I ordered that and was told they don’t have soup of the day. Very poor customer service and lack of personality and enthusiasm. I felt like I was an inconvenience instead of a customer. But…I’m a huge fan of customer service and mcallisters missed the mark on this visit. I don’t come here often because of service so will most likely continue to go to another restaurant in the future

Came here on a Friday afternoon in the last week of September. Only had two families seated inside the dining area, and it was extremely quiet. Peaceful. Calm.
Had a craving for their nachos, which are just light and crunchy enough for me to enjoy. All other nachos I’ve had locally in Odessa are always way too hard and thick for me to digest or enjoy. These are light.
Ordered the Nacho Basket (not the Ultimate Basket, since I cannot have chili or meat products) and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. Paid my bill. There was nobody in the line at this quiet hour, but they were still very short-staffed. The same worker who took my order also prepared it at the back of the kitchen, AND attended to the drive-thru window.
Waited for about 10 minutes before I got my order handed to me. Nachos were good and light. The nacho cheese cup was wrapped in cellophane very neatly and carefully, to preserve the integrity of the condiment. I also got a small cup of jalapenos, which I devoured!
Unfortunately, the cookie - and I’m a big dessert lady - was very hard. The worker had told me that they had just freshly baked them, so I think I likely grabbed the one piece that was overdone. It was definitely not stale, but it wasn’t an ooey-gooey cookie. So one star off for that.
Overall, good visit. Also, this place always is jam-packed in other Odessa locations. I’ve had work lunches here with colleagues and always thoroughly enjoyed my food here. Very busy, so today was an oddly quiet day. I recommend McAlister’s!
Vegetarian options: I get the Four-Cheese Melt Sandwich here, but you can also try the Spuds (potatoes) if you’re avoiding dairy/cheese. The sandwich is decent.

If I could score it 0 stars, I would. Ordered our food online, arrived at delivery window a few minutes before our scheduled pick up time. There was one vehicle ahead of us it took 15 minutes for their order to be handed to them. We waited 55 minutes from our scheduled pick up time to finally receive our order. The girl at the window "apologized" for the delay, blaming employee shortage and "running out of ingredients". The manager tried to apologize by giving us free desserts. But the food that should have been hot was cold when we got it. People waiting behind us went inside to get refunds on their online orders because of the outrageous wait. This location has serious management and staffing issues.
