I've been to the barn door quite a few times and was never bad like this visit. This last visit was the worst. Steak was cooked right but did not have any flavor. The mashed patatos were nasty. The server tried her best, but nothing else was helping.

Never have I ever received such horrible service at Barn Door til last night ! We walked in and no one was in the front after 10mins of just standing there we finally got sat and it was just a table for 2 ! The waitress took 15 mins to come to our table to take our drink order we ordered appetizers and then ordered our food and our waitress was nowhere to be found since she left our appetizer we had to get up and get our own refills ! The waitress from the other side brought our food out to us , we ate and the waitress still was nowhere to be found I had to stop the hostess as she was walking by to ask where the waitress was cause she had not checked on us we had to get our own refills , she went to go look for her and could not find her either ! Dinner was literally a 2 hr and 30 min process and they were not even busy we were the only table in the dining area !!!

Saturday March 16, 2024Over all the service stunk, the food was great except the baked potato, server kept passing us by, we ended up waiting an hour for our food because the waiter had a bigger table to accommodate (he told us)and two people were to much for him, (I’m sure it was a bigger tip) three separate parties came in after the two of us, they all got waited on and served before we got our food. Waiter confessed he had put in the bigger party’s food order before ours. (He apologized)Got seated right away, but our food came an hour later we got there 6:45, seated 2 minutes after we entered didn’t leave the restaurant after 9 pm.Won’t be going there for a long while. Do better Barn Door.

I would have loved for this place to have received 5 stars across the board I've always heard good things about this establishment.But when I go to a steak house I expect that Steak I order to be cooked like I order it the first time .When we received our Steaks my wife had a 12 oz ribeye ,my daughter had an 8 oz cut and I ordered the 12 oz Sirloin ;That being said I ordered my Steak Medium Rare , when I received the Steak I was shocked !The cut was around 10 inches long and 2 to 3 inches wide in the middle which tampered down on both ends to abut 1 inches wide and was not 12 oz nor was it cooked Medium Rare it was Medium to Mid well and Medium rare at the middle . So while waiting for the server to return which was about 20 minutes I had my baked potato and salad .When the server returned I told her the issue and she was happy to replace it but by that time we were ready to go so I suggested it to go and she kindly obliged in fixing it as so .The point is we had to be in Odessa for my wife to go to a spine appointment which we drove from Ozona Texas to do an when we were finished we wanted a good meal before we left which my wife an daughter were pleased but it is my Birthday week and to start it off I got a not so good experience.The bread and cheese are good so that helped .I do hope if I do go back that I get a good Steak oh an I'm not a ribeye guy I Like a good Sirloin !Enjoy .
