Typical hotel restaurant food. Not great but not horrible. Grilled shrimp was cold and rubbery. Service was friendly but slow!! Not to hopeful we will be back!!!

Took my wife to eat at the Shrimp Boat. It was 8pm, there was still two hours before they closed. I ordered the blackened catfish with double veggies. My wife got a burger and fries. Our server was good, he kept my glass full, and came by the table to check on us periodically.. The food how ever was sub par. The double veggies were cold when my plate came out, and the double veggies were a couple carrots, a couple pieces of broccoli, three yellow squash, three zucchini, not even a double portion. Not the servers fault, the kitchens fault. They should know better than to put out cold food. And if they don’t have enough for one portion, have the server come back out and let the customer know the other options. Since the Shrimp Boat is part of the Elegante, I expect better food quality, especially for the prices.

I just want to inform food is excellent but the staff isnt, first it took them a while for them come get our drink order, we got our drinks and sweet tea had no sugar we asked to change it twice so we got cokes, refill was needed and during our meal still no drinks so i had to get up and ask for our drinks. We were done with our meals we asked for our receipt to pay ,waitress took a while to come get our payment so again we got up to ask someone where we could pay waitress could be seen chatting and laughing. The best part of dinner was being helped by the chef lady at the pasta bar and food was amazing.

This place is a hidden gem! I've visited The Shrimp Boat twice, and the food quality is consistently amazing. They have several buffets throughout the week with quite the spread. The decor is dated, but don't let that turn you away! The service and food quality makes up for it. Give it a try!
