Gorditas y Tacos El Chilito

Love the gorditas and the chips with beans

Used to love eating here but then they started practically giving empty gorditas. We stopped going there after the second time they did this plus the food wasn't tasting as good anymore. Today I decided to give them another try worst mistake ever. My gorditas were with very little meat for $2.50 i expect to have atleast a decent amount of meat in the gordita to not have just abuncha masa pieces left over in the plate. Most of my gorditas came kinda empty just the one with egg came out good. We are definitely not returning which we hate cause we really liked this place.

This uses to be a place I liked visiting and liked the food disnt mind the wait. Now The taste and presentation has changed and not in a good way. Check your order when paying and when you receive it so many mistakes and faces when you let them know they have something wrong it does take a while every time we have been there they take over 35 min. The menudo is about a 4 to my taste
It used to be worth the drive, but not any more.

Ordered chilaquiles with over easy egg with medium yoke and the cook manager made it twice and both times he fried it ... it's not how the cook wants to cook it it's how the customer wants it cook ... I was very disappointed not once but twice and wasted an hour trying to get what I wanted
.. at the end I didn't want to argue with the manger insisting the the egg was fried and over cooked so I just walked away and took the loss.... i wish I could upload a picture of the egg... ☹️😞

Fuimos el día sábado sucursal pharr ,primera vez y la persona de caja nada amigable ,si no les gusta su trabajo ,busquen otro, ósea le preguntaba cosas acerca de los tacos y con su mala cara ,piden tip cuando uno solo va y ordena a la caja , vas y te sirves tú bebida , cuál es la atención que te están dando ? Llevarte solo el plato a la mesa ? Y de ahí en fuera todo lo demás lo hace uno mismo.

What we liked from this little place was that they offer food different from the typical carne asada tacos. They have picadilllo, deshebrada, nopalitos, tacos al vapor and even menudo.

They have tostadas, gorditas, and tacos a la plancha. The chips are served with refried beans with chorizo.

It's a small place worth visiting!

This place has great food, but the service was not that good we had this waiter and she had a attitude,thre lady at the front was nice they greeted us when we came in
