Alpine Lodge is a casual dining spot where you can get American menu items. We decided to eat here after eating mostly Tex-Mex for the last ten days. Easy parking - although we walked from our hotel. My son ordered Grilled Chicken AuJus and I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. Everything we got was flavorful except the green beans. My son didn’t care for whatever seasoning was on them. He ordered four sides for reference and the other three were great! The sweet potato fries were more like thick baked sticks of sweet potato but I love SP so it didn’t bother me. My burger was incredible! I could eat half it was so big. I also got salad bar and really enjoyed being able to go back up and get what I wanted. Even though we were there 30 minutes prior to closing time, everything on the salad bar was still fresh and looked and tasted good. Our waitress was friendly and didn’t make us feel like she was rushing us despite them getting ready to close. If you’re expecting 5 star dining, you are not going to get it anywhere in Pecos. If you want casual atmosphere and food, I would recommend giving this a try!

We ordered food and drinks, and then were told we had to leave because we didn't order enough food. This happened because the supervisor looked at the wrong check. Then gave me a check for the wrong table to pay. Then when I was leaving, said we paid the wrong check, and the actual check had a lot of food on it but we still had to leave. My bill was $400+ for 7 of us and would have likely ended up around $1000 if they hadn't been rude, as we spent $500 more at The SPOT...go there!! Oh, and I am from out of town, but the other 6 are locals. So they lost local everyday business and future company dinner.

I really don’t enjoy being critical, but the only thing this restaurant has going for it is convenience. It’s right next to a nice hotel, but the food is subpar, drink selection dismal. Service is hit or miss; our server was polite but another one who spoke to my husband right as they were supposed to open for dinner was very rude. There aren’t many other options around but it’s worth avoiding this one if you can.

The food was good and waitress was nice and not too long of a wait for food. We had something wrong with our bill and tried to get it fixed and the waitress was nice and understanding. But the manager was not nice and cooperative she didn’t fix anything and acted really unprofessionally. Nothing was wrong with the food but this disrespect from the manager spoiled the whole evening.

Terrible service and shady pricing. They asked if we wanted cheese on our burgers but never mentioned it cost extra. The bill had a surprise $6 charge, and when we questioned it, they said we should’ve “read the menu better.” Nice staff, horrible manager.

I frequent the Alpine Lodge restaurant. I like their self serve soup and salad bar. Never has the service been good during my visits.
Water isn't refilled or asked if I need anything, or even a kind word spoken. Consequently, I seldom leave a tip. Apparently the waitresses expect a tip regardless of their inadequate service. They avoid me and I even have to seat myself. Oh well, so be it. Obviously they think they have enough business so it doesn't matter to them how they treat people. They are not doing this business justice.
