Canoe imagine there’s any better Q in the RGV than Rowdy River’s!Perfectly prepared meats with excellent flavors, wide selection of really tasty, local-flavored sides, and excellent friendly service.Had brisket, pulled pork and sausage with green spaghetti (fideo verdé) and charro beans.Brisket had thick bark loaded with mesquite smoke but was fork-tender. Pulled pork very moist with a nice spicy-sweet rub. Sausage was slightly spicy with a little cheese. The spaghetti has a balanced poblano sauce, not-too spicy and the beans have a nice SouTex flavor.Generous portions were more than enough for this hungry traveler. The staff were happy to answer questions and rightfully proud of their offerings.Nice new dining room to enjoy your meal.Definitely worth the portage…You’ll be full to the gunnels and ready to drift with the current when you’re done.

This is such an incredible place to eat!! The food was incredible, so tasty and delicious and the serving size was fantastic!! I can't wait to go back there for more brisket sandwiches!! This place is awesome!! Hopefully I'll see you in two weeks when I'm in town again!

Talking about GREAT BBQ, had the 2 meat combo- and it did not disappoint at all ! Generous portions and the mustard base potatoe salad was amazing. Looks like we have a LOCAL GEM EATERY HERE!

Definitely not a restaurant, more like a stop and go. Taste was subpar . Good effort.
Just ordered two brisket plates and they did not disappoint. Brisket was moist and delicious, no sauce needed. They don’t skip lean or moist parts of the brisket nor the bark. Love the portion size and sides. I already want to go back!! Fridays is their brisket plate special!

This place is so new it still had that new restaurant smell. It looks like they are transitioning from a food truck to a sit down restaurant. We got the best of both. We ordered from the truck and they delivered to our table inside. It appears they are still working out the kinks. Service was slow but interesting. I don't think they are ready for indoor dining quite yet. That was ok. Parking is tight but not impossible. I was able to get in and out with my F150. We both had the Rowdy Dog. It's a smoked then grilled hot link smothered in chopped brisket on a hotdog bun. It was friggin delicious! Neither of us had sides but they did look real good. We will be back, there are lots of menu items left to try.

13 of us from Leisure Valley Ranch Park showed up unannounced on October 25, 2023. The food was delicious and nobody left hungry! Nice dining room for a large crowd and they brought it all to us inside! Looking forward to our next visit!

I passed by this place plenty of times for months. One day, I was BBQ hungry on a Sunday afternoon so I stopped in while working. I'm kicking myself for not having done so sooner. I haven't sampled too much on their menu, but their brisket is on par with some of the best I've ever had. Prices are reasonable and the staff is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and help this small business out. You will not be disappointed.
