WE were staying in Mission. We found this restaurant right outside the Wal Mart parking lot when we were getting the lay of the land. We stopped in to give it a try. It certainly had the authentic vibe. For our preferences however it was just pretty plain and average. The atmosphere was underwhelming as was the food. Perhaps it was what we ordered but just an average 3 star rating from us.

First time here. Food was very good. Could have had more selection for the breakfast buffet. Ex: Bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc... But overall good food. Just pricey for the buffet. 28.00+ for 2 buffets.

I don't recommend. They gave me a bad beef soup the meat was rotten .!when I got home I opened the cup and I could smell the old meat smell .and I called them back and the had closed already.! And I went the next day and told the lady owner about it and didn't believe me and told me not to go anymore! Thts not right! They should try and help and make costumers not tell them to leave and don't come back I even showed her the picture of the beef meat tht had white stuff on it!

This place is really good. At 1st I was like should we try it? What if it’s no good? But best Mexican food in peñitas. I got 2 bacon and egg with beans they were really good the tortillas were soft, and then we order tacos Reynosa which comes with 5 tacos with beans, onion and they were good as well. Will be coming here again.. Do recommend

I love this place. At first we were a little skeptical about trying it out because we’re so picky with Mexican food. But the first time we went… ufffff…. It was delicious!! Then this morning I woke up craving breakfast tacos and man let me tell you…. It’s like having my mom’s homemade breakfast tacos with homemade “tortillas de masa hechas a mano” — this place is really good! I really recommend!

Really nice and the food was great. Will definitely start going there instead of the other place in town. Also the price was very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Looking for a no frills good old Tex Mex joint that is Family run and has some darn good food...then this is the spot! Owner, Rose is super sweet and works really hard and the place is packed with locals. The enchiladas were fresh and tasty. The chips and Salsa (Pico de Gallo) were VERY fresh YUM!!! and the prices are very reasonable. A solid food selection and hometown feel. Mama Rita makes the Tamales on site and by hand! Been several times and have not been disappointed. Breakfast is also YUMMY!!!

The brisket sandwich was so delicious! The bread was buttery and warm and the brisket so tasty. It came with a side of homemade potato salad. We also tried the mole plate and tamales. Yum, totally recommend!!
