Food is really good; just wish there was more options. We were looking for more Calif. Mexican rather than Tex Mex and i would say there was a good balance of both.

That has to be the worst meal I have ever had. Really disappointed in my fellow raters, how can this place get a 4.6. I had the mole chicken. I don't know what that was but I have never tasted mole as bad as that, the chips were last weeks. The rice had no flavor, and the beans, just a pinch of any Mexican spice can make a flavorful refried beans. My wife had a grilled chicken patty the thickness of a quarter. And a side of avocado, who knows if that's was good, she never got it. Take my word for it go to Ernestos. There is a reason that only 1 table had any patrons at 6 o'clock on a Friday night. By the way ernestos was packed

When you're this far North of Dallas it's hard to find a great Mexican restaurant but we were pleasantly surprised by the taste and friendly service. I ordered flautas with chicken and thought it was excellent.

What an awesome neat little place. It was empty, so we had the whole joint to ourselves. The wait staff took good care of us, but also didn’t smother us. They were eating lunch as well. :) Bathrooms were clean, the beer was cheap, and the birria tacos were amazing! We’ll certainly be back.

We stopped for lunch at this unassuming small restaurant and were impressed! Service was attentive and prompt. Food was excellent - birria tacos were spicy. Tacos al carbon were good. Margarita was just right. And the salsa is fresh and delicious. The prices were fair. We liked the atmosphere and the cleanliness. We would definitely return.Parking: Shares a parking lot with Brookshire Brothers.

$97 spent for 5 dishes plus an extra side of guacamole, plus tip on a takeout order. Burritos are extremely overpriced for the size and contents. Ordered 3 los charros burritos and asked to add fajita veggies to all 3. None had the veggies added. The burritos were mostly beans and rice with maybe a spoon full of chopped fajita meat in each. Two chicken quesadillas which weren't worth the $15 each either. The guacamole was hard with huge chunks of under-ripened avocados. On a happier note they did provide some complimentary queso after they missed it when we ordered "chips and queso". That probably cancels out paying $9 for 3 small scoops of hard guacamole that nobody will eat anyways. This was way too expensive to be fed food that tasted like it came from Taco Bell. We will not be going back...

I have tried it twice for the taco salad, enchilada, tamale, rice, beans and such. Taco salad was very expensive for just lettuce, no beans, rice, little meat. All of the other standard items have some spice not encountered in any other TexMex restaurant. Not sure what it is, but we did not care for it. Chips and salsa are doable, not great.
