My mom and I drove past this place the other day and just had to make the trip back out to try it! And we are so happy we did! The food was incredible (seriously, better and far more authentic than anything Fredericksburg has to offer) and a very generous portion!! Service was great, the owners are very polite and easy company!

The Schnitzel Haus serves some of the best German food I've ever had. Every dish is clearly made with love and authenticity-delicious, and packed full of flavor. But what truly sets this place apart are the owners, they are Genuine, kind-hearted people who make you feel like family the moment you walk in. My Personal Favorite is the Chicken Schnitzel Plate, or the Egg Scramble for breakfast. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food and even better hospitality.

Unbelievably delicious food. I had the chicken schnitzel because I arrived after they sold all the pork. Based on the flavor of the chicken I can see why they ran out of pork. I've had really good German food before, but never this good. I got sauerkraut and potato salad which were equally as good as the main dish. My biggest disappointment is that I live 2 hours away.
Please check this place out if you can! The food is incredible, the atmosphere is so sweet, and the service was so personal. My son and I both had the best time and the BEST meal.

On the other hand, the service was excellent but keep in mind that this is a small place with mostly outside seating and only a husband and wife team running it; therefore don’t be in a rush. Overall it’s an enjoyable rustic eatery with decent German like food.

We learned about this restaurant on Facebook. We were thoroughly excited to find an authentic German restaurant on our northwest side of town and it did not disappoint! Loved that it was dog friendly in true German fashion 🥰 my only sad face was that the pretzels were sold out, but that's ok we will be back!
