We came for catfish Friday and were not disappointed. Salad bar was great. The fried okra was perfect and the catfish might be the best I’ve ever had. The waitress was attentive. The food came out hot, fresh and fast.

If you blink you will miss it. I promise it is not a place you want to drive by, STOP! The catfish is perfectly fried in cornmeal and the sides are fresh and delicious. Their pea salad is my favorite. I can take or leave a side salad but theirs is fantastic. The dressings are homemade and they add all kinds of fresh veggies.

I love chicken fried steak, but usually don't eat it out because it's often full of gristle. Someone I know recommended The Relay Station's chicken fried steak though and it did not disappoint! It was tender, crispy and delicious! The mashed potatoes, corn and gravy were also on point. I'll be back again.

Down home comfort food in generous portions served by friendly people for 50 years. Always worth the stop, it's almost exactly half way between Bryan-College Station and Conroethe Woodlands off Hwy 105 and not far from the Texas Renfest. Great for lunch or dinner. Next time you pass through Plantersville, make the stop. You won't regret it.

Stopped in for dinner was surprised not to see more people eating. I had the grilled pork chops with fried okra, also ordered the mushrooms. Food was good. Service was polite and I will eat there again.
It may be out of the way, but it's WELL WORTH IT! Laid back and nostalgic, the building itself is a pleasure to see. It feels almost like stepping back in time (fotr me at least. Maybe because I'm a lifelong resident of the "BIG CITY" [never again will I live in a big city, ANYWHERE. I wish I would've moved YEARS AGO]). Friendly staff, fast service, and your food gets to you fast as well. Friendly patrons catching up with old friends, and meeting new ones at the same time. This will be a new "frequented" spot for me for sure. I'm a TRANSPLANT from Houston, and have been looking for a good "home cooked" type of restaurant for a LONG TIME. Well, I found IT!!! You gotta try it for yourself. I give it 10 thumbs up, Keep the great food and service coming Relay Station and I will be back again and again, and will continue telling people all about it!Oh yeah, and COLD BEER too. How could I forget THAT part. I sure hope Mom can't see this (miss you too much mom), but it MAY even give mom's cooking a run for it's money. It's at least a close second. I hope they have liver and onions. Gonna try that next if they do. If they don't, maybe they'll do a request!! Anyway, try it and I bet you'll be back!!
