I used to love this place. I've been living locally for years and have been coming to causeway since day 1. It went from a gorgeous menu with healthy and vegan options, incredible coffee with amazing baristas and a growing bar to literally nothing. The hours are cut to 7pm-2am. No food, no coffee and the drinks are incredibly limited. Me and my friend came for the Austin East Ciders and they no longer even have that on tap. This is so sad to see it decline as much and as fast as it has. The food, when it was even available, went from being a wonderful price for excellent quality to way over priced and for some basic whatever food. No more vegan or healthy options. Over priced bar food. This place is a bar with exceptional bartenders basically doing Gods work. I'd hate to work here. It's dead a lot of the time and they make the bare minimum basically without tips most Nights because, truly, this place has nothing to offer. S*** is so sad. Literally so sad. Don't fix what isn't broken. S*** was actually amazing.

Had the Black Bean burger and it was very nice. The fries tasted fresh. Overall a very pleasant experience. Would definitely visit this place again.

We spent 5 days at South Padre Island and the food was from miserable to mediocre. We came across the bridge and had lunch at Causeway! The food is incredible, service was great! Only thing I found odd was soda refills were charged as an additional drink. That may be customary for the area so I am not judging. If you go, make sure you go to Causeway!!!!

Had an awesome visit thanks to the awesome young man that was waiter, server, cook, bartender and cashier. Food was great! Drinks were great. Atmosphere was fantastic. Place is neat and comfy in general. Small outside area is near and view is nice. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

We were looking for a bar that was highly rated and walking distance from Joe's Oyster bar.. found this place.... Bartender was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. A very quaint place. No expression but I got a nice cold brew... I didn't have any food but they have appetizers. Have little outdoor patio seating.. hard to see because it is right before the causeway.. very easy to miss this place.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the area. The bartender and cocktails are the creative and delicious. The food is amazing and always fresh. The wait staff leaves something to be desired however and often gets orders wrong and doesn't refill drinks. Despite this I still go here 2-3 times every time I'm in town. I just wish they were open 7 days a week and had dinner kitchen hours.

A very average experience. The beer was good, wings were a little small but tasty! I had a tuna sandwich which while good was kind of sloppily made, with little care.Friend had a burger that was reportedly decent.Atmosphere was fine as well.

Wife and I went for a quick lunch before our tattoo appointment. She's allergic to coconut so I told the server to ensure the fried basket (which was far overpriced for the amount of food you get) didn't come near the coconut shrimp. When the food came out we asked what was in the breading and she said "I don't really know". She had to be prompted to go find out. Food was all right but again, overpriced and nothing special.

Found this place by chance because we couldn't find anywhere with a decent wait time or that was open for dinner. We were not disappointed. We had tostadas, street tacos, and crunchy tacos. Everything was fresh and tasted truly authentic. The red salsa was just spicy enough with a slow heat. Only sad they had run out of tres leches cake because I'm sure it would've been as divine as the main course.

One of the most relaxing restaurant/bar in Port Isabel. Awesome Bartender DK! His attentiveness and suggestions on the menu were great! Canijilla drinks and tacos!! Then ending with it a delicious slice of chocolate cake! The best! I try to come here at least once a week!

The service was awesome. Dekarlton was super helpful and very respectful. I’m coming back just to sit in his section.

We don't frequent this place as often, but when we do, we're never disappointed. The fish basket and grilled fish tacos are absolutely delish, and portioned just right.. The only downfall.. we haven't been able to enjoy a latte since their expresso machine went out. Hopefully it's fixed soon..

Good variety of food. Small portions. Tasty. Slow but polite service. Reasonably priced. A short wait during high season.

Love this place! The food is amazing...especially the Street Style Tacos! They have a really good craft beer selection and the staff and service have consistently been great! Perfect escape from the overly crowded restaurants on the island.
