Wayyy too expensive and they don't give you tortillas if u buy meat but not the pound. They need to lower prices or go out of business. Talk about OVER PRICED FOOD. AND THEY ARE SO STINGY WITH SALDA OR TORTILLAS

Yes! Get your tacos, tortillas, Carnes here, they are very good! They also have thee best avocados. They're pricy, but totally worth it because they are huge and always ripe perfectly ?. They have other mexican yummies and They're helpful, customer service oriented, and nice! They have a drive thru on the side of the building that you can access via the road behind the store. They have some parking in the front just be careful getting out. There is a restaurant attached to the side, but I haven't eaten there yet.

Best place for chicharones, barbacoa or tripas to go in port isabel

These MEXICANS come here and open shop with wayyyy over the top prices. They need to go back to Mexico where they are allowed to be too pricey for their Barrio. I give it a 2 out of a 10. Prices ruin the whole place. 4 pieces of chicharron for $5 . Ridiculous. Did I mention that they don't use gloves nor wash their hands when handling the food or tortillas with bare hands??? Gross.. canceled my order as soon as I saw that. Gross

Incredible chips, tortillas, salsas (their Habanero is legit ?) and had their carnitas for lunch. Always stock up on the way to the island. Friendly staff!

As a foodie, was somewhat disappointed with the options on SPI. Rarely am I interested in 'fine dining', rather want love finding simple delicious foods well prepared, supporting the local mom and pops. Just across bridge sits this amazing business, and has renewed my interest in returning to the area. I expect great Mexican food in South Texas, and it has been found. The gentleman working was courteous and patient, helping me order as I do not speak Spanish The Veracruz tamales were amazing, so flavorful and the masa maintained its moisture and lightness. The corn tamale was not as light or moist unfortunately but the flavor was still there. Beans were well seasoned, loose with texture as I like. The chile relleno was exactly how I prefer, chile not over roasted and maintained meaty texture, generous wedge of panella cheese (I suspect), lightly battered. Appreciate that they are served not smothered in a Roja sauce as it masks the light crispy texture of the egg wash. We ordered an obscene amount of food, in addition to sides of pico and a small bottle of crema for just over $30. So grateful we found this little place, as it will standout in our trip memories. .

It is minutes from SPI just across the bridge and well worth the 5 minute drive. AUTHENTIC, perfectly seasoned and just plain perfect, especially the tamales! The Barbacoa is a must eat! Chille Relleno is lightly breaded and so flavorful my wife's eyes lit up like she was seven and got that Furbie she asked Santa for! They even took refried beans to a whole new level of flavor! Will be back and HIGHLY recommend!

They have one of the best Chicharrón that I have tasted in my life, the prices not so bad.
