Had lunch for the first time, ordered shrimp...it was delicious. The wait staff ignored us for over 10 minutes after we sat down. Other patrons who arrived after we did were served refreshments and our walked all around our table without stopping. We had to get up and ask for service and yet we still were ignored. Great food! Lousy service.

Very average overall. Service was a bit slow and the tacos were simply "ok". Not much fish on each taco. A buddy ended up leaving half his plate and eating elsewhere.Margaritas are strong and the hush puppies were good.

Los Tortugas in Port Isabel is the ultimate spot for fresh seafood without the tourist trap. Staff? Always top-notch. Food? Fresh as can be. My go-to? Fried flounder with fries, always crispy and flaky. And don't get me started on their burger –this is my wife's go to with that crispy crust and toasted bun. You won't regret it.

Easily one of the BEST places for Ceviche in all of Texas. It’s a cute little hole in the wall place, but the seafood is fresh and the ceviche is poppin. I have been coming here every single year for 5 years now and it does not ever disappoint.

My husband and I discovered this local spot back in October and knew we needed to bring the kids. We were pleasantly surprised to find a full mariachi band performing when we arrived. So cool and a first for our Midwest family! The food and drinks were all excellent! My daughter's favorite food of the trip was the soup that comes out with fresh chips before the meal. We tried a michelada, which we had never had before, and it puts bloody Marys to shame. What a spicy, wonderful drink! We also had the ceviche, which was SO good! These were the standout items that we ate, but everything else was great, too: shrimp tacos, shrimp po' boy, popcorn shrimp. Even the fries were good.Next time we're on SPI, we'll be back to this local spot.

Driving by this place, you can see it always packed. Very good and fresh fish to eat there or to take home to prepare.Dietary restrictions: Fries, onion rings, and other items are fried separately for those with seafood allergies.

Have been there several times and each time food is not as good as previously experienced. Seafood soup tasted pretty "fishy" and not in a pleasant way. Fried calamari was tough. We will definitely visit the fish market but probably not the restaurant.
