Our first time here and we were blown away by the food! Every single thing we ordered was next level. I love seafood, so when I say this was the best I've EVER had, it's a big deal! 10 stars for; food, service and location! Can't wait to come back

Always the freshest and best seafood ever! Definitely worth the drive. Fair price and large portions. Well stocked salad bar. Our favorite is the fish and shrimp. Family owned.

So good. All you can eat price may have been high but it was well worth the indulgence. We rolled out of that place after eating ourselves sick. Will definitely go back

Had been wanting to try this place because always had a lot of cars in the parking lot. I guess had expected more than just fried seafood. Fish and shrimp was good salad bar had a good selection. Wife and I don't eat fried food much anymore so won't be back but that's just because of our eating habits. What we had was really good and if like fried fish and shrimp you will more than likely enjoy.

There was plenty of parking. The decor is homey and up to date, with a fun atmosphere. Service was quick and our server was nice. Food came out fast. It was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for a family dinner! -Hannah age 11

Went to Cathy’s for a family dinner , ordered the grilled chicken breast and grilled veggies , went to take my first bite only for the chicken to taste freezer burnt and to bite into a piece of bone I put it aside and tried to take another bite only to bite into another bone and for it to still taste freezer burnt, I asked my waitress who was fantastic to please ask the chef to make me a new grilled chicken due to obvious food safety hazards and nasty taste but she came back a few minutes later saying that the chef refused to remake the chicken stating that the multiple bones I found in my food wasn’t a problem and that there was no way the chicken tasted freezer burnt , by that time I had started to feel nauseous and when I finally made it home I had to make a bee line for my restroom due to a violent wave of vomiting. I will never recommend this place to anyone and would highly suggest steering clear of it if your in port o Conner

*MUST READ!!!* Cathy's Restauraunt is a hidden gem in the the Gulf Coast which has been opened for over 23 seasons! It has survived huricanes, economic hardship and a pandemic and still shines bright with perseverance with the people who run in since day 1 thru rain or shine. What stood out about this place is that every person who works here puts in hard effort that can be seen so you can enjoy a good time with your family or friends and walk out with a Big Smile and say "that was freaking darn good, I am stuffed!". The ambience of the restauraunt makes you feel welcomed, happy and relaxed. Best of all, the food comes in Big Portions and very delicious. You can tell Cathy's has a good solid Menu of food which ranges from Seafood to Chicken Fried steak and dont forget the 13 varieties of BEERS & 6 WINES + FROZEN Drinks! I welcome you to come dine here for you will not be disapointed! Here are some pictures of the "All You Can Eat Shtimp/Fish (FRIED)" plate!!

Taken here by friends. Loved the shrimp both fried and grilled. So much food! A little pricey but Huge portions! Ate on it for two days. It was a Friday night 7ish so there was a little wait and the service was a little slow. Worth the wait. Highly recommend!

Best home style cooking in Calhoun County. Cathys never fails to give excellent service. Ample amount of food cooked to perfection. This is a must place to go to and be ready to eat a healthy portion. Enjoy!

Food was all right, but very over priced. No fresh fish served. Then I was charged a $3.19 fee for using a debit card. Seriously?? Not impressed.

Mediocre. Not sure how people are rating the food 5 stars. Mushy, over fried shrimp, and stuffing used for several dishes that was mostly bread and not much crab. Flavorless onion rings. Flavorless Mac and Cheese. Boring fried food is what your going to get. Stood at the front waiting for someone to come out of the back for several minutes when we arrived. Server was personable enough but seemed distracted by co-workers in back. I wouldn’t go back, especially since the prices were pretty high for the food quality.

Ate dinner with a group of good friends and the meal was most enjoyable. The food was really very good and the service was out standing. Cathy's has always been a super place to eat.

What if I told you that in a world of astronomically-priced-shabby-chic boiling-pot and fancified-overpriced-underfed restaurants of blackened, broiled, boiled and braised seafood, there is an oasis? An oasis that unapologetically serves seafood in a truly unpretentious atmosphere for a reasonable price? What if I told you they take giant plate size cuts of moo-worthy meat, practically still flapping around fish and shrimp, oysters still stunned from being pulled from their shell and then they, as crazy as it sounds, beat, breaded and batter each one? What if I told you then, in spite of the warnings from the American Heart Association and with a Rebel Heart, they, unbelievably, drop it all in hot fresh oil? That’s right! They cook seafood and steak the way you SECRETLY want it. Southern fried.I am sure many of you are thinking "well that little missy has gone plum crazy!" Or saying "Biff, what exactly is frying? F-r-y-i-n-g?" or texting " OMG BFF! CUB PPL? SMH ROFL!" But I assure you it is true.I have, actually, without a single trace of remorse, donned stretch pants and driven to Cathy's many times. I have joined the line of fearless revolutionists who bravely form a line that says to all who see it "I don't care what you think of me! I will eat my shrimp fried! I want my fish dredged through perfectly seasoned cornmeal then cooked in hot fresh oil! It's MY body and it's my right! I have joined the ranks of others who throw caution to the wind and risk heart disease in order to feast from their overburdened platters of deep fried deliciousness. I have unabashedly bypassed the salad bar to save my precious stomach space for more golden brown morsels of seafood. I have openly mouthed the words ``french fries please" instead of "baked potato". I will, without hesitation, order the all-you-can-eat fish and shrimp. I am not afraid or ashamed to admit it. If you understand Southern Fry Cooking is an art then you will understand when I tell you Cathy's is Rembrandt.
