Was at Back Pew this weekend 3/1/25 for a car show. Car show and live music were very nice, but the food vendor (Temo’s Kitchen) was below par. Temo’s Kitchen was a food vendor at the event. Placed an order with the vendor and was told it would take about an hour to prepare. The order took longer than suggested...and the order was wrong. To correct the order would have taken more time. I was hungry. I ended up giving my food away, leaving the event, and getting food elsewhere. Again, the car show and the live music were nice…, but I was highly disappointed with the food vendor, Temo’s Kitchen.
Visiting from Virginia, picked up a 6-pack of the Porter and a single of the Tanuki at Specs. Wow, really fine brews. Wish I had time to visit the taproom! Looking forward to another visit so I can explore more options from this fine brewery.
They don’t allow tastings. Tried a sour, it was undrinkable. Made me buy another beer. All in all, very rude staff and mediocre beer. ZERO stars!
Great taste low alcohol Local and low carbs. This I was pleasantly surprised when I taste this beer and I’d like to see more of it available not just randomly but in stores as well.
Great spot with good beers. I wish they had a higher IPA selection but they have something for everyone. I love that they're dog friendly and the outdoor patio is a great place to spend an afternoon!
Always a good spot to sit and enjoy a couple cold beverages and live music on a Saturday afternoon.
Good beer. I’m.
This place was very nice. We went because they were having a Fall Market with local businesses and artisans. There were mostly families with lots of kids and fur babies. They had all kinds of games and things for kids. And lots of neat art, everything from jewelry to cutting boards to baked goods.
I came there during a Journey Tribute Band Concert (played by Escape) with my boyfriend. I tried the Lucy (a wheat beer) which was pretty good. I also got to sample the bock, which was also really tasty. The staff was very welcoming and there is plenty of space for the concert. We didn't bring chairs but we got lucky to find a seat at the picnic tables and have a good view of the band playing. The area definitely was good for my first and I would happily come back for the drinks and lively atmosphere.
What a local brewery should be! Journey tribute band tonight. Still best breadth selection of beers. To confess, I am a sinner at heart, try the Satyr's Swill. What a Boch should be. Say hi to Chris!

Love this place. Very chill atmosphere.
Saturday visit was nice; just opening so not super lively but the beer was good. Like that they have a playground in back with lots of space and its dog friendly!
Very cool place. My husband enjoyed the beers. We both enjoyed the atmosphere. The music was legit. The food truck the evening we were there was some Gastro pub name that I can’t remember but the tacos were absolutely perfect and the carnitas sandwich I ordered for my husband garnered a lot of attention. Very very pleasant experience overall!
NO OUTSIDE FOOD! This is in big bold on the door with an effective date 1/1/24. What brewery does not outside food when they are not selling food directly themselves? My family was turned away at 8:30 on Friday with 2 boxes of pizza. The bar tender said we are welcome to eat in the parking lot.
How about change your name to “Brew Pub” or “Back Pew Brewery & GRILL” or “& RESTAURANT” if you no longer allow outside food. No mention on google of a consistent food truck.
Just silly, and now you have lost a local customer that has gone to BP over the years and bought your beer at HEB. Whatever, I will go drink at home and eat my pizza at home! Not going to give BP a second chance. Good riddance Back Pew. Rules are rules, F rules! No brewery only have I ever been to that does not allow outside food. Even breweries that have a food truck still allow outside food. Just did it 2 weeks ago at SpindleTap.
Wonderful beer, staff and atmosphere! Can’t wait to come back here!
