I've passed this place 100 times while visiting the Splendora/Cleveland area but the dated/faded signage & exterior made me 🤔 about stopping. My Mr. said it was really good back in the day so we stopped yesterday. Walked in & it waa just as dated on the inside🙄 BUT the food was fresh, everthing on the line was being replaced as soon as it got low and the staff was really nice.

When entering to dine it feels like being in grandma's kitchen! You smell all the different cooked foods and the buffet style area looks and smells amazing! Your mouth starts to water and then the bread ball catches your eye🤗💕🤪let's eat kicks in...gotta try it! We love it and this location is welcoming and friendly staff.

Drive through order of chicken strips pack , Cole slaw, around 5 pm, got home and mash potatoes were rotten, like they were made with soured milk

I love the manager here she's so sweet but today o went to the drive thru and ordered two 3 pieces fish specials and fries and got home opened bag with two fried chicken dark meat which I don't eat and no fries. There goes dinner. Waste of $20 and no one answers the phone there.

The young lady at the window... I didn't catch her name, but I have never encountered a drive-thru attendant so attentive and willing to help. She asked about our day and seemed to genuinely care. She wasn't annoyed when I needed to add to my order. She was great! Plus the food was hot and fresh. I honestly prefer Porter Hartz over Cleveland and New Caney!
I had the buffet, which is way overpriced for what it is. I think I paid 13.99 + tax. The food was just acceptable, very institutional. The baked chicken breast was dry. The fried fish was overdone. I understand everything is more expensive now but it seems like Hartz buffet was 8.99 no more than a year ago.

I have eatin at hartz many times, tonight was the worst I have ever had there! The chicken drum stick I had mustof been sitting out all day, see photo! The Coleslaw was big chunks of cabbage not like coleslaw should be, the Mac and cheese is usually very good and moist, what I had was dried out and nothing like it use to be! I won’t be going back for quiet some time, VERY DISAPPOINTED!
